MATERIALS:

Yarns:
Double knitting/light worsted yarn / cotton yarn
Small amounts of double knitting/light worsted yarn / cotton yarn in colors of choice

Hooks & Notions:

Size 3.50 / 3.25 mm Hook
Small amount fiberfill/toy stuffing
Yarn needle
Stitch marker

GAUGE:

22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm
Tension/Gauge is not necessary for this project to be perfect

Abbreviations:
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet
HDC – half double crochet
DC – double crochet
SC2tog – single crochet 2 stitches together

Notes:
Yarn and hook is only a suggestion – size will vary depending on yarn and hook used.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Cake Top:

This part is made by working in continuous rounds, so you may want to use a stitch marker to keep record of your current rnd.

Rnd 1: With yarn, CH 2. Work 6 SC in second CH from hook. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd.

Rnd 2: Work 2 SC in each ST around (12 SC). Move Marker

Rnd 3: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next ST. Repeat from * around (18 SC). Move Marker

Rnd 4: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in each of the next two STS.  Repeat from * around (24 SC). Move Marker

Rnd 5: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in each of the next three STS. Repeat from * around (30 SC). Move Marker

Rnd 6: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in each of the next two STS.  Repeat from * around (40 SC). Move Marker

Rnd 7: For this rnd only work in the back loops. Work 1 SC in each ST around (40 SC). Move Marker

Rnd 8-12: Work 1 SC in each ST around (40 SC). Move Marker

Rnd 13: Change to second color yarn. Work 1 SC in each ST around (40SC). Move Marker

Rnd 14: For this rnd only work in the back loops. Work 1 SC in each ST around (40 SC). Fasten off and weave in ends.

Cake Bottom:

This part is made by working in continuous rounds, so you may want to use a stitch marker to keep record of your current rnd.

Rnd 1: With yarn, CH 2. Work 6 SC in second CH from hook. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd.

Rnd 2: Work 2 SC in each ST around (12 SC). Move Marker

Rnd 3: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next ST. Repeat from * around (18 SC). Move Marker

Toppings For The Mini Cake Gift Box:

This part is made by working in continuous rounds, so you may want to use a stitch marker to keep record of your current rnd.

Chocolate Syrup: 

Rnd 1: With yarn, CH 2. Work 6 SC in second CH from hook. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd.

Rnd 2: Work 2 SC in each ST around (12 SC). Move Marker

Rnd 3: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next ST. Repeat from * around (18 SC). Move Marker

Rnd 4: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in each of the next two STS.  Repeat from * around (24 SC). Move Marker

Rnd 5: This part is worked in free-form style exp – SL ST, CH 8, 6 HDC, skip SC, SL ST 3. Work around adjusting the Ch and HDC to your taste and Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Whipped Cream: 

Rnd 1: With yarn, CH 2. Work 6 SC in second CH from hook. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd.

Rnd 2: Work 2 SC in each ST around (12 SC). Move Marker

Rnd 3: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next ST. Repeat from * around (18 SC). Move Marker

Rnd 4: Work 4 SC in each front loop around. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Cherry:

Rnd 1: With yarn, CH 2. Work 6 SC in second CH from hook. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd.

Rnd 2: Work 2 SC in each ST around (12 SC). Move Marker

Rnd 3: *SC2tog. Repeat from * around (6 SC). Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Biscuit Twirled:

Row 1: With yarn, CH 10. Work 2 SC in each ST till end. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

You can make this as long or as short as you want.

Biscuit Triangle: 

Row 1: With yarn, CH 12. Work 11 SC across, CH1, turn.

Row 2: SC2tog, work 7 SC across, SC2tog, CH1, turn.

Row 3: Work 9 SC across, CH1, turn.

Row 4: SC2tog, work 5 SC across, SC2tog, CH1, turn.

Row 5: Work 7 SC across, CH1, turn.

Row 6: SC2tog, work 3 SC across, SC2tog, CH1, turn.

Row 7: Work 5 SC across, CH1, turn.

Row 8: SC2tog, work 1 SC across, SC2tog, CH1, turn.

How To Assemble:

Row 9: Work 3 SC across, CH1, turn.

Row 10: SC3tog. SC all around the edges. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Flake:

Row 1: With yarn, CH 13, work 12 SC across, CH1, turn
Row 2 – 8: Work 12 SC across, CH1, turn.
Fasten off on last row. Roll up and secure.

First attach Chocolate syrup to Cake top, then the Whipped Cream. Then decorate with the cherries and biscuits as you fancy! Use photo as a guideline.  Weave in all ends.
