Part of my husband’s idea for the bathroom:
The Starfish Project

SKILL LEVEL:
Easy
Basic stitches, simple shaping and finishing.

SIZE:
To fit standard sized paper-roll – 11 cm in diameter and 10 cm in length

MATERIALS:
Yarns:
Double knitting/light worsted yarn
Approx 25 grams of cream/white
Small amounts of double knitting/light worsted yarn in brown, light blue and dark blue

Hooks & Notions:
Size 4.00 mm Hook
Yarn Needle

GAUGE:
22sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10cm (4.00mm Hook)
Tension/Gauge is not necessary for this project to be perfect

I use US Crochet stitch terminology

INSTRUCTIONS

With Cream/White Yarn and 4.00mm Hook
Make a magic circle
This part is made by working in continuous rounds, so you may want to use a stitch marker to keep record of your current rnd.

Rnd 1: Work 6 SC into circle, pull end tail to close ring. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd.
Rnd 2: Work 2 SC in each ST around (12 SC). MM
Rnd 3: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next ST. Repeat from * around (18 SC). MM
Rnd 4: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next two STS. Repeat from * around (24 SC). MM
Rnd 5: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next three STS. Repeat from * around (30 SC). MM
Rnd 6: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next four STS. Repeat from * around (36 SC). MM
Rnd 7: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next five STS. Repeat from * around (42 SC). MM
Rnd 8: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next six STS. Repeat from * around (48 SC). MM
Rnd 9: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next seven STS. Repeat from * around (54 SC). MM
Rnd 10: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next eight STS. Repeat from * around (60 SC). MM
Rnd 11: WORKING IN BACKLOOPS ONLY (THIS ROUND ONLY) SC in each ST around (60 SC). MM
Rnd 12: SL ST into 1ST SC, CH1, 1SC into same ST. *Skip next ST, work 2 SC into next ST. Repeat from* until end of round.
Rnd 13 – 27: Repeat round 12
Color Sequence:
Rnd 13 – brown
Rnd 15-16 – light blue
Rnd 17– dark blue
Rnd 18-19 – cream/white
Rnd 20 – brown
Rnd 21-22 – light blue
Rnd 23– dark blue
Rnd 24-27 – cream/white
Fasten off and weave in all ends.

I have these pretty butterfly towels and the colors
of the butterflies are cream, brown, light blue and dark blue.
This is what I have based my whole bathroom on!
