Lacy Stitch Infinity Scarf – Crafting A Rainbow Of Hope

A quick and easy infinity scarf in a lacy stitch!

Basic stitches, simple shaping and finishing.

Yarn: light worsted yarn
Color – Variegated yarn (Elle DK Family Knit – Robin’s Egg)
2 x 50 grams

Hook: 4.00 mm

Size: approx 80 cm in length and 25 cm in width

Tension/Gauge is not necessary for this project to be perfect

I use US Crochet stitch terminology

CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
DC – double crochet

I made this scarf using the lacy starry-eyed stitch.
Create a foundation chain that is  multiplied by four plus four

CH 44
ROW 1: Work 1 DC into the 8th CH from hook (to create corner loop), work (1 CH, 1 DC) 3 times into same CH.
*SKIP 3 CH, work k 1 DC into next CH, work (1 CH, 1 DC) 3 times into the same CH (1 SHELL). Repeat from * until last 4 CH, SKIP 3 CH, work 1 DC into last CH, TURN
ROW 2: CH 3, *work 1 DC into the middle of the SHELL, work (1 CH, 1 DC) 3 times into same CH space. Repeat from * until last ST, work 1 DC into middle of corner loop space, TURN
Repeat ROW 2 for required length.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

After completion – I twisted the scarf once before I sewed the two short ends together 🙂
