The ground is worked with the right-side facing outward; this needs to be flipped inside out, so that the top ground is
facing right side up when attached to pot.

Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

From rnd 26 this creates a flap that hangs over the pot, creating the effect of the top part of a flower pot.
Attach with invisible stitches to sides of pot.

How to assemble:

  • Stuff ground centre with tissue/stuffing to form its shape, this is only temporary.
  • Place stuffing inside pot, create a hole in the middle; this is where the ground centre will be placed.
  • Insert ground.
  • Attach ground to pot by sewing into the back loops created by rnd 26. Match up stitches for a perfect fit. Use ground tail for sewing.
  • As you sew add stuffing to form pot, and to surround the centre of the ground.
  • Remove tissue/stuffing from ground.
