SKILL LEVEL:
Easy
Basic stitches, simple shaping and finishing.

SIZE:
12cm in length and 10cm in width

MATERIALS:
Yarns:
Double knitting/light worsted yarn
25 gr of double knitting/light worsted yarn, in color of choice and small amount of contrasting color for flower and drawstring

Hooks & Notions:
Size 3.50mm Hook
Yarn Needle

GAUGE:
22sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10cm
Tension/Gauge is not necessary for this project to be perfect

I use US Crochet stitch terminology

INSTRUCTIONS

Bag:
With main color, make 4 CH, join with a
SL ST into first CH to form a ring

Rnd 1: Working into the ring and over starting tail of yarn at the same time. CH 3 (counts as first DC). 11 DC into ring. Join with SL ST to first DC (12 DC). Do not turn, continue working in the round
Rnd 2: CH 3 (counts as first DC). 1 DC in same stitch as 3 CH. *2 DC in next DC. Repeat from *around (24 DC). Join with a SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
Rnd 3: CH 3 (counts as first DC). 1 DC in same stitch as 3 CH. *2 DC in next DC. Repeat from * around (48 DC). Join with a SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
Rnd 4: For this row only work in the back loops. CH 3, DC around (48 DC).
Bottom measures – 7cm if worked with a 3.50mm hook and double knitting/light worsted yarn
Rnds 5 – 12: CH 3 (counts as first DC). 1 DC into each DC around. Join with a SL ST into 3rd  of 3 CH
Rnd 13: CH 1, 1 SC in each DC around. FO and weave in ends
Bag from Rnd 4 to Rnd 13  measures – 9 cm if worked with a 3.50mm hook and double knitting/light worsted yarn

Flower:
With main color, make 4 CH, join with a
SL ST into first CH to form a ring
.
Rnd 1: Working into the ring and over starting tail of yarn at the same time. CH 1, and work 15 SC into circle. SL ST into first CH.
Rnd 2: CH 4, *skip 1 SC, 1 DC into next SC, CH 1, rep from * 6 times more. Join with a SL ST into the 3rd of the first 4 CH, Break off yarn.
Rnd 3: Join with a contrasting color you wish to use for the petals to first CH loop with a SL ST, CH 1. Into same CH loop, work 1 DC, 1 TR, 1 DC, 1 SC,*into next CH loop, work 1 SC, 1 DC, 1 TR, 1 DC, 1 SC, rep from * into each CH loop, making 8 petals. Join with a SL ST into first Ch.
Rnd 4: Working behind the petals made in row 3, make a SL ST between 2 petals, CH 4, *1 SC between next 2 petals, CH 3, rep from * to end. The CH loops made lie behind the petals of the previous row. Join with a SL ST into first CH.
Rnd 5: Make the next row of petals by working 1 SC, 1 DC, 2 TR, 1 DC, 1 SC into each CH loop. Join
with a SL ST into first SC. FO, leave a long tail for sewing

Drawstring:
Working with main and contrasting color yarns together,
CH 100. FO
Tip: Leave long beginning and end tails. Use them to tie knots at the end after weaving through the bag.

Optional: Use ribbon or beaded thread!

Attach flower to center of bag.
Weave drawstrings through the third row from the top.
Tie a knot on each end loosely.
Trim yarn.
Weave in all ends.
