Ribbon Gift Bag

A small gift bag in candy colors tied with
matching ribbons.
SKILL LEVEL:
Easy
Basic stitches, and simple shaping and finishing.
SIZE:
12cm in length and 13cm at widest part
MATERIALS:
Yarns:
Small amounts of double knitting/light worsted yarn
Hooks & Notions:
Hook – 3.50 mm
Wool Sewing Needle
Scissors
3 x ribbon approx 30cm each
GAUGE:
Tension/Gauge is not necessary for this project to be perfect
I use US Crochet stitch terminology

INSTRUCTIONS

Bag is worked in the round.
With first color CH4
Rnd 1: work 11 DC into 4th CH from hook (first 3CH counts as DC), SL ST into 3rd CH from 3 CH (12 DC)
Rnd 2: 3 CH, 1 DC in same ST, 2 DC in each DC until end, SL ST into 3rd CH from 3 CH (24 DC)
Rnd 3: 3 CH, 1 DC in same ST, 1 DC in next ST, *2 DC in next ST, 1 DC in next ST, repeat from * until end, SL ST into 3rd CH from 3 CH (36 DC)
Rnd 4: for this rnd only work in back loops, 1 HDC in each ST (36 DC)
Rnd 5: 3 CH, 1 DC in same ST, 1 DC in next 2 STS, *2 DC in next ST, 1 DC in next 2 STS, repeat from * until end, SL ST into 3rd CH from 3 CH (48 DC)
Rnd 6: 3 CH, 1 DC in same ST, 1 DC in next 3 STS, *2 DC in next ST, 1 DC in next 3 STS, repeat from * until end, SL ST into 3rd CH from 3 CH (60 DC)
Change color
Rnd 7: 3 CH, 1 DC in each ST until end, SL ST into 3rd CH from 3 CH (60 DC)
Rnd 8: 3 CH, *DC2tog, 1 DC in next 3 STS, repeat from* until last 2 STS, 1 DC in each ST, SL ST into 3rd CH from 3 CH (48 DC)
Rnd 9: 3 CH, *DC2tog, 1 DC in next 2 STS, repeat from* until last ST, 1 DC in ST, SL ST into 3rd CH from 3 CH (36 DC)
Rnd 10-11: 3 CH, 1 DC in each ST until end, SL ST into 3rd CH from 3 CH (36 DC)
Change color
Rnd 12-13: 3 CH, 1 DC in each ST until end, SL ST into 3rd CH from 3 CH (36 DC)
Rnd 14: loosely SL IP ST into each ST around. FO
Thread ribbon through Rnd 11.
Stitch Explanation: dc2tog
(double crochet 2 stitches together) 
Yarn over (YO) hook, insert hook in stitch(st) , pull up a loop, 3 loops on hook.  YO hook, pull through 2 loops.  YO hook insert in next st, pull up a loop, 4 loops on hook.  YO, pull through 2 loops, 3 loops on hook.  YO pull through last 3 loops.  One dc2tog made.
