Mini Cupcake Toppings Two

SIZE:
To fit the Mini Cupcake

MATERIALS:
Yarns:
Double knitting/light worsted yarn
Small amounts of double knitting/light worsted yarn, in colors of choice

Hooks & Notions:
Size 3.50mm Hook
Yarn needle
Stitch marker

GAUGE:
22sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10cm
Tension/Gauge is not necessary for this project to be perfect

I use US Crochet stitch terminology

INSTRUCTIONS

White Icing and Pink Flower Cupcake:
This part is made by working in continuous rounds, so you may want to use a stitch marker to keep record of your current rnd.
Flower Icing:
Rnd 1: With yarn, CH 2. Work 6 SC in second CH from hook. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd.
Rnd 2: Work 2 SC in each ST around (12 SC). MM
Rnd 3: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next ST. Repeat from * around (18 SC). MM
Rnd 4: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in each of the next two STS.  Repeat from * around (24 SC). MM
Rnd 5: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in each of the next three STS. Repeat from * around (30 SC). MM
Rnd 6: *Work a SL ST into next ST, work 3DC into next ST. Repeat from until end. FO and leave tail for sewing onto cupcake.
Small Flower:
With yarn, CH 31. SL ST into 2nd ST from hook, work 3DC into next ST. * SL ST into next ST, work 3DC into next ST. Repeat until end. FO and leave tail for sewing onto cupcake.

Yellow Flower with Cherry Cupcake:
Flower Icing:
This part is made by working in continuous rounds, so you may want to use a stitch marker to keep record of your current rnd.
Rnd 1: With yarn, CH 2. Work 6 SC in second CH from hook. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd.
Rnd 2: Work 2 SC in each ST around (12 SC). MM
Rnd 3: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next ST.
Repeat from * around (18 SC). MM
Rnd 4: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next two STS. Repeat from * around (24 SC).
Rnd 5: Join contrasting color in any SC with a SL ST.
*SC, HDC in next SC, DC x2 in next SC, DC x2 in next SC, HDC, SC in next SC. Repeat from * 5 times more to create 6 petals. FO and leave tail for sewing onto cupcake.
Cherry:
Rnd 1: With yarn, CH 2. Work 6 SC in second CH from hook. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd.
Rnd 2: Work 2 SC in each ST around (12 SC). MM
Rnd 3: *DECR across first two STS. Repeat from * around (6 SC). FO, leaving a tail for sewing.

Choc Syrup and Pink Flower Cupcake:
Chocolate Syrup:
This part is made by working in continuous rounds, so you may want to use a stitch marker to keep record of your current rnd.
Rnd 1: With yarn, CH 2. Work 6 SC in second CH from hook. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd.
Rnd 2: Work 2 SC in each ST around (12 SC). MM
Rnd 3: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next ST. Repeat from * around (18 SC). MM
Rnd 4: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in each of the next two STS.  Repeat from * around (24 SC). MM
Rnd 5: This part is worked in freeform style exp – SL ST, Ch8, 6HDS, skip SC, SL ST 3. Work around adjusting the Ch and HDS to your taste and FO, leaving a tail for sewing.
Small Flower:
Rnd 1: With yarn, CH 2. Work 6 SC in second CH from hook.
Rnd 2: SL ST into first ST. 1HDC, 1DC, 1HDC , 1SL ST in same ST. *Work 1 SL ST, 1HDC, 1DC, 1HDC, 1SL ST into next ST. Repeat 3 times more. SL ST into next ST. FO and leave tail for sewing onto cupcake.

Choc Icing and Yellow Flower Cupcake:
Chocolate Icing:
This part is made by working in continuous rounds, so you may want to use a stitch marker to keep record of your current rnd.
Rnd 1: With yarn, CH 2. Work 6 SC in second CH from hook. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd.
Rnd 2: Work 2 SC in each ST around (12 SC). MM
Rnd 3: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next ST. Repeat from * around (18 SC). MM
Rnd 4: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in each of the next two STS.  Repeat from * around (24 SC). MM
Rnd 5: *Work 1 SC in next ST, 1HDC in next ST, 1DC, 1TR in next ST, 1TR, 1DC in next ST, 1HDC in next ST, 1SC in next ST. Repeat from * 3 times more. FO and leave tail for sewing onto cupcake.
Small Flower:
With yarn, CH 6 and SL ST to form a ring.
*Work 3 CH, 2 DC into ring, 3 CH and then SL ST into ring – First Petal made. Repeat from * 4 times more. 5 Petals made. FO, leaving a tail for sewing.
Cherry:
Rnd 1: With yarn, CH 2. Work 6 SC in second CH from hook. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd.
Rnd 2: Work 2 SC in each ST around (12 SC). MM
Rnd 3: *DECR across first two STS. Repeat from * around (6 SC). FO, leaving a tail for sewing.

Sew or glue toppings onto cupcakes.
