PART TWO:
4 Rectangles Assorted and a Flower
SKILL LEVEL:
Easy
Basic stitches, simple shaping and finishing.
SIZE:
Big Rectangle – Approx 24cm x 12cm
Small Rectangle – Approx 24cm x 6cm
Flower – Approx 6cm x 6cm
MATERIALS:
Yarns:
Small amounts of double knitting/light worsted yarn in various colors or
various colors in any yarn available
IMPORTANT NOTE – USE THE SAME TYPE OF YARN THROUGH OUT THE PROJECT!
Don’t stress – the size will just differ if different types are used 🙂
Hooks & Notions:
Size 4.00 mm Hook
Yarn Needle
GAUGE:
Tension/Gauge is not necessary for this project to be perfect as long as all the blocks are approx. the same size
INSTRUCTIONS:
Big Rectangle : Make 2


Repeat Row 1 to Row 4 twice more.
Repeat Row 1 and 2 once more,
FO after last row and weave in ends.
Small Rectangle : Make 2


CH 41
Row 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook, work 1 SC into each ST until end (40 SC), change color, turn
Row 2: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC). *skip 1 ST, work 1 DC into next ST, work 1 DC into skipped ST. Repeat from * until end working 1 DC into last ST, change color, turn. (Note – the stitches will look like crosses)
Row 3: Work 1 SC into each ST until end (40 SC), change color, turn
Row 4: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC), work 1 DC into each ST until end (40 DC), change color, turn
Row 5: Work 1 SC into each ST until end (40 SC), change color, turn
Row 6: Repeat Row 2
Row 7: Work 1 SC into each ST until end (40 SC).
FO after last row and weave in ends.
A Flower : Make 4

Rnd 3: CH4, work a 3TR cluster into same space, CH 4 and SL ST into same space, work 1 SC into next SC, *CH 4, work a 3TR cluster into next space, CH 4 and SL ST into same space, work 1 SC into next SC. Repeat until 6 petals are made. SL ST into 1st st space. FO (leave a tail for sewing) and pull tail through to the back.
