Mini Doll Back Bag

A mini doll back bag made with small amounts of scraps of yarn!
 
SKILL LEVEL:
Easy
Basic stitches, simple shaping and finishing.
SIZE:
approx 8/9 cm in length and 8/9 cm in width
MATERIALS:
Yarns:
Scraps of Double knitting/light worsted yarn
Hooks & Notions:
Hook – 3.50 mm
Yarn Needle
Scissors
GAUGE:
Tension/Gauge is not necessary for this project to be perfect
Note This was made to fit my daughter’s 30 cm Minnie Mouse Doll 🙂
I use US Crochet stitch terminology
 

INSTRUCTIONS

CH 7
Rnd 1: Work 2 SC into 2nd CH from hook, work 1 SC into next 4 STS, work 4 SC into next ST, continue working into the bottom of the starting chain – work 1 SC into next 4 STS, work 2 SC into last ST (16 SC),
SL ST into first SC, CH1
Rnd 2: Work 2 SC into first SC, work 1 SC into next 6 STS, work 2 SC into next 2 STS, work 1 SC into next 6 STS, work 2 SC into last SC (20 SC), SL ST into first SC, CH1
Rnd 3: Work 2 SC into first SC, work 1 SC into next 8 STS, work 2 SC into next 2 STS, work 1 SC into next 8 STS, work 2 SC into last SC (24 SC), SL ST into first SC, CH1
Rnd 4: Work 2 SC into first SC, work 1 SC into next 10 STS, work 2 SC into next 2 STS, work 1 SC into next 10 STS, work 2 SC into last SC (28 SC), SL ST into first SC, CH1
Rnd 5: Work 2 SC into first SC, work 1 SC into next 12 STS, work 2 SC into next 2 STS, work 1 SC into next 12 STS, work 2 SC into last SC (32 SC), SL ST into first SC, CH1
Rnd 6: for this round only work into back loops – Work 1 SC into each SC (32 SC), SL ST into first SC, CH1
change color
Rnd 7-18: Note: change color after each round. Work 1 SC into each SC (32 SC), SL ST into first SC, CH1
Rnd 19: Work 1 SC into first SC, CH1, skip 1 SC. *Work 1 SC into next SC, CH1. skip 1 SC. Repeat from * until end, SL ST into first SC
Rnd 20: SL ST into first SC, work 3 SC into 1 CH space. *SL ST into next SC, work 3 SC into next 1 CH space. Repeat from, * until end, SL ST into first SC, fasten off and weave in ends.

 

The Straps:
Make Two
CH 21
Row 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook, work 1 SC into each ST until end, turn
Row 2: CH1, work 1 SC into each ST until end. Fasten off and sew strap onto bag
Ribbon Strap:
CH 50
Knot at one end, weave through 1 CH spaces and knot remaining end.
