Christmas Skittle Ball Game CAL Part Two

INSTRUCTIONS:

Sew squares together. I used a SL ST method. A wonderful tutorial can be found at:

 

Border: 
Rnd 1: Attach yarn (I used blue)  with a SL ST into any stitch, 3CH (counts as 1 DC). *work 1DC in each ST until the corner, work 2 DC, 2 CH 2 DC into the corner. Repeat from * all around. SL ST in 3rd of 3CH, fasten off  and weave in ends.
Change color (I used green)
Rnd 2: Attach yarn with a SL ST into any stitch. CH1, work 1 SC into same ST, *work 1 SC into each ST until the corner, work 3 SC into the corner. Repeat from * all around. SL ST into first SC, faster off and weave in ends.
NOTE: Work 1 DC into each corner of the granny square and 1 DC into the join.

 

 

Appliques:
Star:
With 3,00 mm hook and yellow yarn
CH 5, join with a SL ST to first CH to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Work 3 CH, 2 DC, 3 CH, into ring *3 DC, 3 CH. Repeat from * 3 more times. (5 DC clusters and 5 3 CH’s). Join with a SL ST to the 3rd CH of starting 3CH.
Rnd 2: SL ST into the next  2DC and into the first 3 CH space.
3 CH, 2 DC, 3 CH, 3 DC into 3 CH space, 1 SC into 2nd DC of next DC cluster. *3 DC, 3CH, 3 DC into next 3CH space, 1 SC into 2nd of next DC cluster. Repeat from * 3 times more. Join with a SL ST into the 3rd CH of starting 3CH.
Rnd 3: SL ST into next 2 DC and into first 3CH space. Work 3 CH, 3 DC, 4 CH, 4 DC into 3 CH space, 1 SL ST on either side of SC of previous rnd. Work *4 DC, 4 CH, 4 DC into next 3CH space, 1  SL ST on either side of SC of previous rnd. Repeat
from * 3 times more. Join with a SL ST into the 3rd CH from starting 3CH. FO and leave a tail for sewing.
Numbers:
With 3,00 mm hook and small amounts of yarn
Stitch Explanation: SC4tog (SC decrease) Insert hook into ST and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next ST and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next ST and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next ST and draw up a loop. (Inserted hook into 4 CH’s/STS)Yarn over, draw through all 5 loops on hook.
Number One:
CH 12. Work 1 SC in 2nd CH from hook and 1 SC in each Ch (11 SC). Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
Number Two:
CH 23. Work 1 SC in 2nd CH from hook and then work as follow in the next 21 CH’s – SC2tog, SC2tog, 1 SC, SC2tog, SC2tog, SC2tog, 5 SC, 3 SC in next CH, 4 SC. Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
Number Three:
CH 28. Work 1 SC in 2nd CH from hook and then work as follow in the next 26 CH’s – 1 SC, SC4tog, 1 SC, SC4tog, 1 SC, 1 SC, 3 SC in next CH, 1 SC, 1 SC, SC4tog, 1 SC, SC4tog, 1 SC, 1 SC. Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
Number Four:
CH 29. Work 1 SC in 2nd CH from hook and then work as follow in the next 27 CH’s – 5 SC, SC4tog, 6 SC, SC4tog, 8 SC. Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.  Form the shape four and sew the two ends over each other.
Number Five:
CH 23. Work 1 SC in 2nd CH from hook and then work as follow in the next 21 CH’s – 2 SC, 2 SC in next CH, 1 SC, 2 SC in next CH, 1 SC, 2 SC in next CH, 1 SC, 1 SC, SC4tog, 1 SC, SC4tog, 1 SC, 1 SC, 1 SC. Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
Number Six:
CH 12. SL ST to form ring, SC in each CH (12 SC). SL ST in first SC, CH 6, SC in 2nd CH from hook, 3 SC, 2 SC in next CH, SL ST in 2nd SC of ring. Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
