Yarn: medium worsted yarn
Color – 4 colors – color change indicted in pattern
Hook: 4.00 mm
Size: 23 cm x 23 cm (approx. 9 inches)

Abbreviations:
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet
DC – double crochet

INSTRUCTIONS:
CH 29
ROW 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook, work 1 SC into each CH until end (28 SC),
change to new color on last ST, TURN
ROW 3: CH 1, work 1 SC into each ST until end, change to new color on last ST, TURN
ROW 4: CH 1, work 1 SC into next 2 STS, *work 1 DC into next ST, work 1 SC into next ST. Repeat from * to last 2 STS, work 1 SC into last 2 STS, change to new color on last ST, TURN
ROW 5: CH 1, work 1 SC into each ST until end, change to new color on last ST, TURN
Repeat ROWS 2-5 in striped sequence until there are 29 ROWS, ending with a ROW 5.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
RND 1: CH 1, work 1 SC into each SC and into each ROW along the edges – working 3 SC into each CORNER ST, until end of ROUND, join with a SL ST into first SC worked
RND 2: CH 1, work 1 SC into each SC of previous round and 3 SC into center ST of 3 SC at each corner until end of round, join with a SL ST into first SC worked
Fasten off and weave in ends.
