Easy

Basic stitches, simple shaping and finishing.
Yarn:
medium worsted yarn (No 4) approx – 25 – 50 grams – body and ears
small amounts of double knitting/light worsted yarn (No 3) – feet, eyes and extras
Hook: 4.00 mm and 3,50 mm
Size: approx 15 cm in diameter
Notes:
Tension/Gauge is not necessary for this project to be perfect
I use US Crochet stitch terminology
Abbreviations:
CH – chain
SC – single crochet
HDC – half double crochet
DC – double crochet

INSTRUCTIONS:

Body:
Make 2 – with medium worsted yarn and 4,00 mm hook
make a magic circle
RND 1: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC), work 11 DC into ring (12 DC), SL ST into top of 3rd CH of 3 CH
RND 2: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC), work 1 DC into same ST as 3 CH; work 2 DC into each DC all around (24 DC); SL ST into top of 3rd CH of 3 CH
RND 3:CH 3 (counts as 1 DC), work 1 DC into same ST as 3 CH; work 1 DC into next DC.
*Work 2 DC into next DC, work 1 DC into next DC. Repeat from * all around (36 DC); SL ST into top of 3rd CH of 3 CH
RND 4: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC), work 1 DC into same ST as 3 CH; work 1 DC into next 2 DC.
*Work 2 DC into next DC, work 1 DC into next 2 DC. Repeat from * all around (48 DC); SL ST into top of 3rd CH of 3 CH
RND 5: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC), work 1 DC into same ST as 3 CH; work 1 DC into next 3 DC.
*Work 2 DC into next DC, work 1 DC into next 3 DC. Repeat from * all around (60 DC); SL ST into top of 3rd CH of 3 CH
RND 6: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC), work 1 DC into same ST as 3 CH; work 1 DC into next 4 DC.
*Work 2 DC into next DC, work 1 DC into next 4 DC. Repeat from * all around (66 DC); SL ST into top of 3rd CH of 3 CH
Fasten off and weave in ends on one circle, leave a tail for sewing on the second circle.

Ears:
Make 2 – with medium worsted yarn and 4,00 mm hook
CH 17
ROW 1: Work 1 DC into 4th CH from hook, work 1 DC into each CH ST until end (15 DC);
continue working in the round;
work 5 DC into the same ST as the last DC;
work  1 DC into the foundation CH opposite each DC of the next 13 STS;
work 1 DC into the bottom CH of the first 3 CH, TURN
ROW 2: CH 1, work 1 SC into the next 16 DC;
work [1 HDC, 1 DC, 1 TR] into the next DC;
work [1 TR, 1 DC, 1 HDC] into the next DC;
work 1 SC into the remaining 16 STS.
To finish work 2 SC around each DC at the bottom, fasten off and leave a tail for sewing

Paws:
Make 2 – with light worsted yarn and 3,50 mm hook
Make a magic circle
ROW 1: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC), work 7 DC into ring, TURN
ROW 2: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC), work 1 DC into same ST as 3 CH;
work 2 DC into each DC until end.
Work 2 SC around each DC at the bottom ( 8 SC), TURN
Work [1 SC, 1 HDC, 1 DC] into first SC;
work [1 DC, 1 HDC, 1 SC] into next SC; SL ST into next SC;
work [1 SC, 1 HDC, 1 DC] into next SC;
work [1 DC, 1 HDC, 1 SC] into next SC; SL ST into next SC;
Work [1 SC, 1 HDC, 1 DC] into next SC;
work [1 DC, 1 HDC, 1 SC] into next SC; SL ST into last SC;
SL ST all around bottom of paw – Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing

Eyes & Paw Patches:
Make 4 – with light worsted yarn and 3,50 mm hook
Make a magic circle
RND 1: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC), work 11 DC into ring, SL ST into top of 3rd CH of 3 CH
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing
Eyes Lid:
Make 2 – with light worsted yarn and 3,50 mm hook
Make a magic circle
RND 1: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC), work 7 DC into ring (8 DC)
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing
BUILDING YOUR BUNNY:

Sew paws and eyes onto one circle;

Sew eyelids over eyes; position eyes and sew into place;

Sew on the paw patches; add facial features;
embroider a nose, mouth and some teeth 🙂
I glued on some eyes, but you can embroider them too!

Place second circle into position over the back of the first circle;
whipstitch the two together.
