Simple V-Stitch Infinity Scarf

A beautiful infinity scarf created with the most basic of lace stitches ideal for a beginner 🙂

Easy

Basic stitches, simple shaping and finishing.
Yarn: double knitting/light worsted yarn (No 3)
What I used –  Elle Rustica Double Knit – Natural  (78 % Acrylic, 2% Viscose, 20% Wool)
This scarf only took one skein – 1 x 50 grams (this will depend on tension)
Small amounts of cream and yellow yarn for flowers
Hook: 5.00 mm
Size: approx 15 cm in width (6 inches) and 80 cm in length (32 inches)
Notes:
Tension/Gauge is not necessary for this project to be perfect
I use US Crochet stitch terminology
Abbreviations:
CH – chain
DC – double crochet
CCW-SIMPLEVST-INFSCF-003 CCW-SIMPLEVST-INFSCF-004 CCW-SIMPLEVST-INFSCF-005

INSTRUCTIONS

CH 30 + 4
Foundation Row: Work 1 DC into the 5th CH from hook, CH 1, work 1 DC into the same CH;
*SKIP 2 CH, work [1 DC, 1 CH, 1 DC] into the next CH, repeat from * to last 2 CH, SKIP 1, work 1 DC into the last CH, TURN
ROW 1: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC), work 1 DC into the 1st 1 CH space, CH 1, work 1 DC into the same space;
*Work [1 DC, 1 CH, 1 DC] into the next CH space, repeat from * until end, work 1 DC into the top of the 3 CH, TURN
Repeat last ROW to form pattern – work pattern until desired length is reached.
I twisted my scarf 2 times before sewing the two short edges together.

Flower: (Make 3)
Approx 5 cm x 5 cm in diameter

Knit Picks Banner

With yellow yarn, make a magic ring
RND 1: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC), work 11 DC into ring, SL ST into top of 3 CH (12 DC). Fasten off and weave in ends
RND 2: Join cream yarn into any.
*SL ST into next 2 STS, CH 3, work 2 DC into same ST. Repeat from * until end of round (6 x petals). SL ST into first ST, fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
Attach the flowers on to the line where the color changed.

I pinched the scarf together and sewed on the three flower to slightly over-lap each other.
