Little Girl’s Flower Scarf
Scarf – Easy
Flower – Intermediate (need to know how to make a 3 TR cluster
Basic stitches, simple shaping and finishing.
50 grams of double knitting/light worsted yarn in light blue
25 grams of double knitting/light worsted yarn in cream
Small amounts of double knitting/light worsted yarn in dark pink, coral pink, white, light green and yellow
Size 3.50 mm Hook
approx Length – 105 cm, Width – 12,5 cm
SC – single crochet
DC – double crochet
With light blue yarn and 3,5 mm hook
Row 1: Work 1DC into 8th CH from hook, *CH2, skip 2 STS, work 1DC into next ST.
Repeat from * until end, turn
Row 2: CH5, *work 1DC into next DC, CH2. Repeat from * until end, turn
Row 3: CH5, *work 1DC into next DC, CH2. Repeat from * until end, working last DC into 3rd CH of 5CH
Repeat Row 3 until work measures approx. 105 cm (optional – scarf can be made any length desired)
With cream yarn and 3,5 mm hook
Join yarn with SL ST into a corner space, work 1 HDC, 1DC, 1 HDC into same space, work 1 SL ST, 1 HDC, 1 DC, 1 HDC into same space (corner made) – DO THIS FOR EACH CORNER.
*SL ST into next space, work 1 HDC, 1 DC, 1 HDC into same space.
Repeat from * into each space, ending with a SL ST into 1ST space. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Flowers: Make 4
With yellow yarn and 3,5 mm hook
Make a Magic Ring
Rnd 1: work 6 SC into ring, SL ST into 1st SC
Rnd 2: Work 2 SC into each SC (12 SC), join new yarn (dark pink/light green/white/coral pink) with SL ST into 1st SC
Rnd 3: CH4, work a 3 TR cluster into same space, CH4 and SL ST into same space, work 1 SC into next SC, *CH4, work a 3 TR cluster into next space, CH4 and SL ST into same space, work 1 SC into next SC. Repeat until 6 petals are made. SL ST into 1st st space. Fasten off (leave a tail for sewing) and pull tail through to the back.
Sew flowers in pairs of two onto scarf. Weave in ends.
