Tension/Gauge is not necessary for this project to be perfect
I use US Crochet stitch terminology
Abbreviations:
CH – chain
SC – single crochet
HDC – half double crochet
DC – double crochet
DECR – work 2 STS together (SC2tog for this pattern)
MM – move stitch marker
SL ST – slip stitch
INSTRUCTIONS:
Flower Cup:
Size: Bottom –10 cm in diameter Top Of Cup –7 cm in diameter worked with a 3.50 mm hook and double knitting/light worsted yarn
With yarn and 3.50 mm hook: CH2
This part is made by working in continuous rounds, so you may want to use a stitch marker to keep record of your current rnd.
Rnd 1: Work 6 SC in second CH from hook. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd.
Rnd 2: Work 2 SC in each ST around (12 SC). MM
Rnd 3: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next ST. Repeat from * around (18 SC). MM
Rnd 4: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next two STS. Repeat from * around (24 SC).MM
Rnd 5: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next three STS. Repeat from * around (30 SC). MM
Rnd 6: For this rnd only work in the back loops.*Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next four STS. Repeat from * around (36 SC). MM
Rnd 7: *Work 1 SC into next ST, 1 HDC into next ST, 2 DC into next ST, 2 DC into next ST, 1 HDC into next ST, 1 SC into next ST. Repeat from *until end – continue in the round
Rnd 8: *Work 1 SL ST into next, 1 SC into next ST, 1 HDC into next ST, 2 DC into next ST, 2 DC into next ST, 1 HDC into next ST 1 SC into next ST, 1 SL ST into next ST. Repeat from *until end.
Fasten off and weave in ends
Attach yarn with a SC into one of the loops:
Rnd 1: Work 1 SC into each loop (30 SC)
This part is made by working in continuous rounds, so you may want to use a stitch marker to keep record of your current rnd.
Rnd 2 – 4: Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd. Work 1 SC into each SC (30 SC)
Rnd 5: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next four STS. Repeat from * around (36 SC). MM
Rnd 6: Work 1 SC into each SC (36 SC)MM
Rnd 7: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next five STS. Repeat from * around (42 SC). MM
Rnd 8: Work 1 SC into each SC (42 SC). MM
Rnd 9: SL ST all around. Fasten off and weave in ends
Handle:
Size: 4,5 cm in diameter worked with a 3.50 mm hook and double knitting/light worsted yarn
With yarn and 3.50 mm hook: CH 11
Work 1 SC in 2nd CH from hook and 1 SC in each ST across.
Flower Cupcakes:
Size: 5cm in diameter and 4cm in height worked with a 3.50mm hook and double knitting/light worsted yarn
Cupcake Base:
With brown/beige yarn and 3.50 mm hook: CH2
This part is made by working in continuous rounds, so you may want to use a stitch marker to keep record of your current rnd.
Rnd 1: Work 6 SC in second CH from hook. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd.
Rnd 2: Work 2 SC in each ST around (12 SC). MM
Rnd 3: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next ST. Repeat from * around (18 SC). MM
Rnd 4: For this rnd only work in the back loops. SC around (18 SC). MM
Rnd 5: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in each of the next two STS. Repeat from * around (24 SC). MM
Rnd 6-7: SC in each ST around (24 SC). MM
Rnd 8: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in each of the next three STS. Repeat from * around (30 SC). MM
Rnd 9: SC in each ST around (30 SC). Fasten off and leave a short tail, it will be hidden inside the base when cupcake is assembled.
Cupcake Top:
With brown/beige yarn and 3.50 mm hook: CH2
This part is made by working in continuous rounds, so you may want to use a stitch marker to keep record of your current rnd.
Rnd 1: Work 6 SC in second CH from hook. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd.
Rnd 2: Work 2 SC in each ST around (12 SC). MM
Rnd 3: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next ST. Repeat from * around (18 SC). MM
Rnd 4: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next two STS. Repeat from * around (24 SC). MM
Rnd 5: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next three STS. Repeat from * around (30 SC).
Rnd 6: SC in each ST around (30 SC). MM
Rnd 7: For this rnd only work in the back loops.
SC around (30 SC). MM
Rnd 8: *DECR across first two STS and SC in next three STS. Repeat from * around (24 SC). MM
Rnd 9: *DECR across first two STS and SC in next two STS. Repeat from * around (18 SC). MM
Rnd 10: *DECR across first two STS and SC in next ST. Repeat from * around (12 SC). MM
Push fiberfill through opening until the cupcake is sufficiently stuffed.
Rnd 11: *DECR across first two STS. Repeat from * around (6 SC). Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
How To Assemble:
Place the bottom part of cupcake top inside the cupcake base. Line up rnd 7 of the top with rnd 9 of the base. Work through the loops to secure the cupcake top to the cupcake base.
Flower Icing:
Size: 7cm in diameter worked with a 3.50mm hook and double knitting/light worsted yarn
With yarn and 3.50 mm hook: CH2

Rnd 1: Work 6 SC in second CH from hook. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd.
Rnd 2: Work 2 SC in each ST around (12 SC). MM
Rnd 3: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next ST. Repeat from * around (18 SC). MM
Rnd 4: *Work 1SC and 1HDC into next ST, work 2DC into next, work 1HDC and 1SC into next ST. Repeat from * until end.
Rnd 5: *Work SL ST into next ST, work 1SC and 1HDC into next ST, work 2DC into next, work 1HDC and 1SC into next ST, work a SL ST into next. Repeat from * until end.
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Sew flower icing onto cupcake tops.
Optional – Small Pink Rosette Icing:
Size: 4cm in diameter worked with a 3.50mm hook and double knitting/light worsted yarn
With pink, purple, blue or yellow yarn and 3.50 mm hook: CH 2
Rnd 1: Work 6 SC in second CH from hook. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd.
Rnd 2: For this rnd only work in the back loops. Work 2 SC in each ST around (12 SC). SL ST in next ST, CH 1 and turn.
With the wrong side facing towards you, work (1 SC, 1 HDC and 1 SC) in next back loop. Continue working the pattern in the brackets in each back loop until the center is reached, SL ST in last SC, Fasten off and pull tail through the center and weave in.
For the new set I embroidered French Knots onto my cupcake icing 🙂
