Abbreviations:
CH – chain
SC – single crochet
HDC – half double crochet
DC – double crochet
DECR – work 2 STS together (SC2tog for this pattern)

INSTRUCTIONS:
Tea Pot:
Size: 11 cm in width and 7 cm in height worked with a 3.50 mm hook and double knitting/light worsted yarn
With blue yarn and 3.50 mm hook: CH2 (or make a magic ring)
This part is made by working in continuous rounds, so you may want to use a stitch marker to keep record of your current rnd.
Rnd 1: Work 6 SC in second CH from hook. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd.
Rnd 2: Work 2 SC in each ST around (12 SC). MM
Rnd 3: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next ST. Repeat from * around (18 SC). MM
Rnd 4: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next two STS. Repeat from * around (24 SC).MM
Rnd 5: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next three STS. Repeat from * around (30 SC). MM
Rnd 6: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next four STS. Repeat from * around (36 SC). MM
Rnd 7: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next five STS. Repeat from * around (42 SC). MM
Rnd 8: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next six STS. Repeat from * around (48 SC). MM
Rnd 9: For this rnd only work in the back loops. Work 1 SC in each ST around (48 SC). MM
Rnd 10: Work 1 SC in each ST around (48 SC). MM
Rnd 11: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next seven STS. Repeat from * around (54 SC). MM
Rnd 12: Work 1 SC in each ST around (54 SC). MM
Rnd 13: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next eight STS. Repeat from * around (60 SC). MM
Rnd 14: Work 1 SC in each ST around (60 SC). MM
Rnd 15: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next nine STS. Repeat from * around (66 SC). MM
Rnd 16: Work 1 SC in each ST around (66 SC). MM
Rnd 17: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next ten STS. Repeat from * around (72 SC). MM
Rnd 18-20: Work 1 SC in each ST around (72 SC). MM
Rnd 21: * DECR across first two STS and 1 SC in next ten STS. Repeat from * around (66 SC). MM
Rnd 22: * DECR across first two STS and 1 SC in next nine STS. Repeat from * around (60 SC). MM
Rnd 23: * DECR across first two STS and 1 SC in next eight STS. Repeat from * around (54 SC). MM
Rnd 24: * DECR across first two STS and 1 SC in next seven STS. Repeat from * around (48 SC). MM
Rnd 25: * DECR across first two STS and 1 SC in next six STS. Repeat from * around (42 SC). MM
Rnd 26: * DECR across first two STS and 1 SC in next five STS. Repeat from * around (36 SC). MM
Rnd 27: Work 1 SC in each ST around (36 SC). MM
Rnd 28: SL ST into each ST until end. Fasten off and weave in ends
Teapot Lid:
Size: 9 cm in diameter worked with a 3.50 mm hook and double knitting/light worsted yarn
With pink yarn and 3.50 mm hook: CH2
This part is made by working in continuous rounds, so you may want to use a stitch marker to keep record of your current rnd.
Rnd 1: Work 6 SC in second CH from hook. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd.
Rnd 2: Work 2 SC in each ST around (12 SC). MM
Rnd 3: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next ST. Repeat from * around (18 SC). MM
Rnd 4: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next two STS. Repeat from * around (24 SC).MM
Rnd 5: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next three STS. Repeat from * around (30 SC). MM
Rnd 6: For this rnd only work in the back loops. Work 1 SC in each ST around (30 SC). MM
Rnd 7: Work 1 SC in each ST around (30 SC). MM
Rnd 8: SL ST into each ST until end. Fasten off and weave in ends
Attach yellow yarn with a SC into one of the loops:
Rnd 1: Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd. Work 1 SC in each ST around (30 SC). MM
Rnd 2: *Work 1 SC into next ST, 1 HDC into next ST, 2DC into next ST, 2DC into next ST, 1 HDC into next ST, 1 SC into next ST. Repeat from *until end – continue in the round
Rnd 3: *Work 1 SL ST into next, 1 SC into next ST, 1 HDC into next ST, 2DC into next ST, 2DC into next ST, 1 HDC into next ST 1 SC into next ST, 1 SL ST into next ST. Repeat from *until end.
Teapot Lid Knob:
Size: 3 cm in diameter worked with a 3.50 mm hook and double knitting/light worsted yarn
With green yarn and 3.50 mm hook: CH2
This part is made by working in continuous rounds, so you may want to use a stitch marker to keep record of your current rnd.
Rnd 1: Work 6 SC in second CH from hook. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the rnd.
Rnd 2: Work 2 SC in each ST around (12 SC). MM
Rnd 3: *Work 2 SC in first ST and 1 SC in next ST. Repeat from * around (18 SC). MM
Rnd 4: Work 1 SC in each ST around (18 SC). MM
Rnd 5: * DECR across first two STS and 1 SC in next ST. Repeat from * around (12 SC).
Stuff with fiberfill/toy stuffing
Rnd 6: * DECR across next two. Repeat from * around (6 SC). FO and leave a tail for sewing.
Sew knob onto lid. Weave in ends.
Teapot Spout:
Size: 5 cm in length worked with a 3.50 mm hook and double knitting/light worsted yarn
With purple yarn and 3.50 mm hook: CH 12
SL ST into first CH to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Work 1SC into each CH. (12SC)
Rnd 2-6: Work 1Sc into each ST. (12SC)
Rnd 7: SC2tog, work 1 SC in next 3 STS, work 2DC in next ST , work 2DC in next ST, work 1 SC in next 3 STS, SC2tog.
Rnd 8: Repeat rnd 7.
Rnd 9: Work 2 SC in each ST.
Rnd 10: SL ST into each ST until end. FO and leave a tail for sewing.
TIP: Use one of the teapot’s ‘bumps’, and sew the spout over the bump.
Sew the spout on using the outside loop of the SL ST round – this gives
a neat effect 🙂
Teapot Handle:
Size: 10cm in length worked with a 3.50mm hook and double knitting/light worsted yarn
With pink yarn and 3.50mm hook: CH21
Rnd 1: Work 1SC into 2nd Ch from hook, work 1SC into each CH until end. (20SC), turn
Rnd 2: CH3 (counts as DC), work 1DC into each ST until end. (20DC), turn
Rnd 3: CH1, work 1SC into each ST until end. (20SC)
DO NOT TURN, CONTINUE WORKING IN THE ROUND.
SL ST all around. Fasten off and leave tail for sewing.
TIP: leave a sewing tail of approx 20 cm, then after you have sewn on the top part
of the handle – weave the sewing tail through the DC row (see photos) –
when you have reached the bottom, slightly pull the tail and the handle will curl,
shape to your liking. Sew the bottom part.
BONUS:
Tea:
With tea colored yarn and 3.50 mm hook: CH2 (or make a magic ring)

Stuff with fiberfill/toystuffing
Rnd 26: * DECR across first two STS and 1 SC in next ST. Repeat from * around (12 SC). MM
Rnd 27: * DECR across. Repeat from * around (6 SC). Sew opening close. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Insert into pot.
Teabag:
With white colored yarn and 3.50 mm hook: CH 9
ROW 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook, work 1 SC into next 7 CH (8 STS), TURN
ROW 2-17: CH 1, work 1 SC into each ST (8 SC), TURN
After last row, fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing approx 30 cm
Fold piece in half; sew side together;
Weave tail through bottom STS, sew side together;
Stuff with a little bit of stuffing/fiberfill; sew top close;
then weave tail back in reverse to the center of the top
Insert hook through the center; CH 20 with remaining tail;
Pull up a loop; using yarn needle make a knot with remaining yarn
through last CH made; weave tail through CH, trim.
Strawberry Applique:
With white colored yarn and 3.50 mm hook: make a magic circle
RND 1: Work 6 SC into ring
RND 2: Work 2 SC into next SC; work 2 HDC into next ST;
work 1 DC into next 2 STS, work 2 HDC into next ST; work 2 SC into next
RND 3: SL ST into each ST until 2nd DC, PICOT [CH 3, SL ST into 3 CH]; SL ST into last 5 STS.
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
Join green yarn into center top of strawberry and work as follows:
1 SC, 1 HDC, 2 DC, 1 SC, 2 DC, 1 HDC, 1 SC into same space,
fasten off and weave in ends.
Sew strawberry onto teabag.
