Chunky Starry Eyed Scarf – Free Crochet Pattern
The Chunky Starry Eyed Scarf is a quick, pretty and easy scarf to crochet and is also very versatile.
Made with basic stitches in a pretty stitch that looks beautiful in any type of yarn.

MATERIALS:
Yarns:
Bulky / medium worsted (No 4) yarn approx 495 yards (maybe less depending on tension and length)
Elle Pure Gold Chunky Ivory 50 gram x 3
Hooks & Notions:
Hook 5,00 mm
Yarn needle
Abbreviations:
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet
DC – double crochet
Notes:
I use US Crochet stitch terminology.
Due to the nature of this pattern – the yarn and hook used is only a suggestion and any substitute may be used.
Size of finished product will vary depending on yarn and also size of hook used.
Size: Make in size required (My Scarf is approximately 160 cm in length and 20 cm in width)

INSTRUCTIONS:
I made this scarf using the lacy starry-eyed stitch.
Create a foundation chain that is multiplied by four plus four
CH 28
ROW 1:
Work 1 DC into the 8th CH from hook (to create corner loop), then work (1 CH, 1 DC) 3 times into same CH.
*SKIP 3 CH, work k 1 DC into next CH, then work (1 CH, 1 DC) 3 times into the same CH (1 SHELL). Repeat from * until last 4 CH, SKIP 3 CH, work 1 DC into last CH, TURN
ROW 2:
CH 3, *work 1 DC into the middle of the SHELL, then work (1 CH, 1 DC) 3 times into same CH space. Repeat from * until last ST, work 1 DC into middle of corner loop space, TURN
Repeat ROW 2 for required length.
Fasten off and then weave in ends.
