Basic Material Requirements:

Double knitting / light worsted (No 3) yarn
– small amounts of yarn in 4 colors (yellow, pink, green and aqua)
Hook 4,00 mm
Yarn needle

Size: 5 x 5 inch (12, 7 cm) when blocked

Skill Level: Easy

Notes:
Tension/Gauge is not necessary for this project to be perfect

I use US Crochet stitch terminology

Abbreviations:
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet
DC – double crochet
PC – popcorn

BEGINNING PC: CH 3; work 4 DC into same ST/space; remove hook; insert hook into top of 3 CH; insert hook into loop; pull loop thru
PC: Work 5 DC into same ST/space; remove hook; insert hook into first DC made; insert hook into loop; pull loop thru
3 ST CL (cluster): Work 1 TR in next 3 STS leaving last loop of each stitch on hook (4 loops on hook); yarn over; pull thru all 4 loops on hook; CH 1.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Make a magic ring
RND 1: CH 5 (counts as 1 DC and 2 CH);
work [1 DC into ring; CH 2] x 7;
join with a SL ST into 3rd CH of beginning 5 CH.
(8 DC; 8 Chain Spaces)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

RND 2: Join new yarn into any 2 CH space;
work Beg PC into same space; CH 3;
work [PC into next 2 Ch space; CH 3] x 7;
join with a SL ST into top of Beg PC
(8 PC; 8 Chain Spaces)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

RND 3: Join new yarn into top of Beg PC;
work 1 SC into same space;
work [3 SC into next 3 CH space; work 1 SC into top of next PC] x 7;
work 3 SC into next 3 CH space;
join with a SL ST into first SC
(32 STS)

RND 4: CH 1; work 1 SC  into same ST;
*CH 3; work 3 ST CL over next 3 STS; CH 3;
work 1 SC into next ST. Repeat from * 6 times more;
CH 3; work 3 ST CL over next 3 STS; CH 3;
join with a SL ST into first SC.
(8 x 3 ST CL; 8 x SC)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

RND 5: Join new yarn into any SC;
CH 5 (counts as 1 DC; CH 2);
*work 1 SC into top of next 3 ST CL; CH 2; work [1 DC; 3 CH; 1 DC] into next SC; CH 2;
work 1 SC into top of next 3 ST CL;  CH 2; work 1 DC into next SC; CH 2.
Repeat from * 2 more times.
Work 1 SC into top of next 3 ST CL; CH 2; work [1 DC; 3 CH; 1 DC] into next SC; CH 2;
work 1 SC into top of next 3 ST CL;  CH 2.
Join with a SL ST into top of 3rd CH of beg 5 CH.

work [Ch 1; 3 DC into next 2 CH space] x 4; CH 1.
Repeat from * 2 more times;
