Basic stitches in simple variations, simple repeats, color changes, shaping and finishing.

Weight – DK (11 wpi) 3: Light. - Hook – 4.00 mm (G) – Clover

Square – 9 x 9 inches (23 x 23 cm)
SPECIAL STITCHES:
BEG CL (beginning cluster): Work 2 DC together –
[yarn around hook; insert into ST; pull yarn thru; yarn around hook; pull thru 2 loops on hook] x 2;
yarn around hook and pull thru all 3 remaining loops on hook.
CL (cluster): Work 3 DC together –
[yarn around hook; insert into ST; pull yarn thru; yarn around hook; pull thru 2 loops on hook] x 3;
yarn around hook and pull thru all 4 remaining loops on hook.
COLORS: A – aran; B – blue; C – grey; D – pink
INSTRUCTIONS:
With A
CH 6; SL ST into first CH to form a ring
RND 1: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work BEG CL into ring; CH 5;
work CL into ring; CH 2.
*Work CL into ring; CH 5; work CL into ring; CH 2.
Repeat from * 2 more times. SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Join b into any 5 CH space.
RND 2: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work BEG CL into 5 CH space; CH 2; work CL into same 5 CH space (corner made); CH 2; work 3 DC into next 2 CH space; CH 2.
*Work [CL; 2 CH; CL] into next 5 CH space; CH 2; work 3 DC into next 2 CH space; CH 2.
Repeat from * 2 more times; SL ST into 3rd CH of 3 CH.

RND 3: SL ST into next 2 CH corner space; CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work BEG CL into 2 CH space; CH 2; work CL into same 2 CH space (corner made); CH 2;
work 2 DC into next 2 CH space; work 1 DC into next 3 DC; work 2 DC into next 2 CH space; CH 2.

Just a note on instructions, round 9 is all dc’s, then Rd 10 says to work a SC into each sc.

Thank you for letting me know about that error – I do apologize for that.
I have edited the pattern and I have added a photo to help as well.
Round 6 isn’t adding up for me. I have 2 extra stitches from round 5 between corners if I do it as written. I have to skip 3 when I chain 1.
