Basic stitches, simple shaping and finishing. Concentration required.
Yarn: Stardust by Scheepjes
DK: 75% Acrylic, 11% Mohair, 11% Wool, 3% Metallic
1 x Stardust Hydra 100 g (591 yards/540 meters)
Hook: 3, 25 mm
Size: approx 12 inches in width and 45 inches in length
Notes:
Tension/Gauge is not necessary for this project to be perfect
I use US Crochet stitch terminology
Abbreviations:
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet
HDC – half double crochet
DC – double crochet
TR – treble crochet
Design Notes:
This pattern can be made smaller or larger depending on what is required.
Versatile to be converted into a cowl; scarf or wrap.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Multiple of 4 plus 3
CH 63
ROW 1: work [2 DC; 1 CH; 2 DC] into 5th CH from hook;
*SKIP 3 CH; work [2 DC; 1 CH; 2 DC] in next CH.
Repeat from * until LAST 2 CH; SKIP 1 CH; work 1 DC into last CH; TURN
ROW 2: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); SKIP next 2 DC; work [2 DC; 1 CH; 2 DC] into next 1 CH space;
*SKIP next 4 DC; work [2 DC; 1 CH; 2 DC] into next 1 CH space.
Repeat from * until last 3 DC; SKIP 2 DC; work 1 DC into last DC; TURN
Repeat ROW 2 for pattern – continue for desired length.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
For cowl: twist once then sew ends together / or add buttons loops onto one edge and add buttons to the other.
For scarf: Leave as is or add another ball yarn for a longer length / or shorten starting chain to half (32 ch plus 3 = 35)
For wrap: Two Scheepjes Stardust Hydra will be sufficient for a long gorgeous wrap
