Upcycling, also known as creative reuse, is the process of transforming by-products, waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value.

I am a huge believer on reusing stuff that can so easily be thrown away and harm the environment. I also have a yarn addiction and can also easily turn anything into a yarn holder!

I have a few of these 4 cup drink holders plus the 2 cup versions too. There are so great for holding the small 50 gram cotton yarn balls! What I also love is the fact that every time I change color I just turn the holder to the color I am using.

I use this a lot when working on smaller projects like squares, appliques or projects that require the 50 gram balls. Small and convenient enough for placing on the patio table or right next to me in the car seat while I am waiting for my daughter at school.

I have been a crochet designer for more than 10 years. I love to think outside the box and to try and do things a bit differently. I love to learn new techniques and to challenge myself.
