- Work 1 double crochet stitch into the next stitch.
- Work 1 double crochet stitch into the SKIPPED stitch.
Double Crochet 5 Together Cluster (5DCtog):
- Yarn over insert hook into next stitch, yarn over draw yarn through (3 loops), yarn over pull through 2 loops (2 loops)
- Yarn over insert hook into next stitch, yarn over draw through (4 loops),
yarn over pull through 2 loops (3 loops) - Yarn over insert hook into next stitch, yarn over draw through (5 loops),
yarn over pull through 2 loops (4 loops) - Yarn over insert hook into next stitch, yarn over draw through (6 loops),
yarn over pull through 2 loops (5 loops) - Yarn over insert hook into next stitch, yarn over draw through (7 loops),

How to Work the Crochet V-Stitch:
- Work 1 double crochet stitch, chain 1 stitch, and work another double crochet stitch into the same space/stitch.
Exp – Work [1 DC; 1 CH; 1 DC] into ST.
How to Work Back Post Double Crochet Stitch (BPDC):
- Yarn over and insert your hook from back to front between the posts of the first and second double crochet in the row below, and then from front to back again between the posts of the second and third stitches.
- The hook should now be positioned horizontally in front of the double crochet that you’re working around.
- Yarn over and draw the yarn around the post of the stitch.
- You now have 3 loops on the hook.
- Yarn over and draw the yarn through the 2 loops on the hook, twice.
- One back post double crochet (BPDC) is complete.
How to Work Front-Post Double-Crochet (FPDC):
- Yarn over and insert your hook from front to back between the posts of the first and second stitch of the row/round below, and then from back to front again between the posts of the second and third stitches.
- The hook should now be positioned horizontally behind the stitch that you’re working around.
- Yarn over and draw the yarn around the post of the stitch.
- You now have 3 loops on the hook.
- Yarn over and draw the yarn through the 2 loops on the hook, twice.

PART FOUR:
NOTE: Stitch count is IMPORTANT! You will AL WAYS end up with 80 at the end of your row to start the next stitch pattern – (CH, ST, SPACES); when you start a NEXT stitch pattern section – your stitch count NEEDS to be 80.
Don’t let this scare you! This is for the beginners and those who have not done these type of stitch patterns before!
Change Color to B.
ROW 76: CH 1; work 1 SC into each SC until end (80 SC); TURN.
NOTE: reason for working 4 CH in-between SHELLS and not 3 CH – TENSION! With this stitch pattern – working only 3 CH with pull the pattern inward and we need to keep it level with other stitch patterns!
3 CH spaces are ONLY worked at the START & END of ROW 78!
ROW 77: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); SKIP 2 SC (note – this is the ONLY skip 2 for this row);
(work 5 DC into next SC; SKIP 3 SC) 19 times; work 1 DC into LAST ST (19 x 5 DC SHELLS); TURN.
ROW 78: CH 6 (this counts as 1 DC and 3 CH); (work 5DCtog over next 5 DC SHELL; CH 4) 18 times;
work 5DCtog over next 5 DC SHELL; CH 3; work 1 DC into LAST ST.
ROW 79: CH 1; work 1 SC into FIRST DC; work 2 SC into 3 CH space; work 1 SC into top of 5DC Cluster;
(work 3 SC into 4 CH; work 1 SC into top of 5DC Cluster) 18 times;
work 3 SC into 3 CH; work 1 SC into 3rd of 6 CH (80 SC); TURN.
Change Color to C.
ROW 80: CH 1; work 1 SC into each SC until end (80 SC); TURN.
ROW 81 – 84: CH 2 (DOES NOT COUNT AS A STITCH); work 1 HDC into each ST (80 HDC); TURN.
Change Color to D.
ROW 85: CH 1; work 1 SC into each HDC until end (80 SC); TURN.
NOTE: you will ONLY SKIP 2 SC at the START of this next row.
ROW 86: CH 4 (this counts as 1 DC and 1 CH); SKIP 2 SC; work V-ST into NEXT SC; CH 1;
(SKIP 3 SC; work V-ST into next SC; CH 1) 18 times; SKIP 3 SC; work 1 DC into last SC; TURN
(19 V-STs)
NOTE: you will work the SHELL (6 DC) into the 1 CH space of the V-ST.
ROW 87 and 89: CH 3 (this counts as 1 DC); (work 6 DC into next V-ST) 19 times; work 1 DC into last DC; TURN.
(19 SHELLS)
ROW 88 and 90: CH 4 (counts as 1 DC and 1 CH); (work V-ST in-between the 3rd and 4th DC of a SHELL) 19 times; CH 1; work 1 DC into last DC; TURN.
NOTE: you will work ONLY 1 SC into the first CH space at the START of this row.
ROW 91: CH 1; work 1 SC into FIRST DC; work 1 SC into CH space;
(work 1 SC into next DC; work 1 SC into next 1 CH space; work 1 SC into next DC; work 1 SC into the SPACE BEFORE THE NEXT V-ST) 18 times; work 1 SC into next DC; work 1 SC into next 1 CH space; work 1 SC into next DC;
