Tension/Gauge is not necessary for this project to be perfect

I use US Crochet stitch terminology

Abbreviations:

CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)

Colors: A – Baby Yellow; B – Coral; C – Nomvula’s Tangerine; D – Light Rust; E – Chocolate;
F – Champagne; G – Pistachio; H – Cameo Green

PART FIVE:

NOTE: Stitch count is IMPORTANT! You will AL WAYS end up with 80 at the end of your row to start the next stitch pattern – (CH, ST, SPACES); when you start a NEXT stitch pattern section – your stitch count NEEDS to be 80.
Don’t let this scare you! This is for the beginners and those who have not done these type of stitch patterns before!

Change Color to F

ROW 100: CH 1; work 1 SC into each ST across (80 SC); TURN

ROW 101: CH 1; work 1 SC into first SC; SKIP 2 SC; CH 3;
(work 1 SC into next 2 SC; SKIP 2 SC; CH 3) 19 times; work 1 SC into last SC; TURN
(20 x 3 CH spaces)

ROW 102, 104, 106 and 108: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); (work 3 DC into 3 CH space; CH 1) 19 times; work 3 DC into last 3 CH space; work 1 DC into last ST; TURN

ROW 103, 105, 107 and 109: CH 1; work 1 SC into first ST; (SKIP 3 DC; CH 3; work 2 SC into 1 CH space) x 19; SKIP 3 DC; CH 3; work 1 SC into last ST; TURN

ROW 110: CH 1; work 1 SC into first SC; (work 2 SC into 3 CH space; work 1 SC into next 2 SC) x 19;
work 2 SC into 3 CH space; work 1 SC into last SC (80 SC); TURN

Change Color to G

ROW 111: CH 1; work 1 SC into each SC until end (80 SC); TURN

ROW 112; 116; 120 and 124: CH 3 (does NOT count as ST); work 1 TR into each SC until end (80 TR); TURN

ROW 113; 117; 121: CH 1; work 1 SC into each TR until end (80 SC); TURN

ROW 114; 118 and 122: CH 1 (does NOT count as ST); work 1 HDC into each SC until end (80 HDC); TURN

ROW 115; 119 and 123: CH 1; work 1 SC into each HDC until end (80 SC); TURN

ROW 125: CH 1; work 1 SC into each TR until end (80 SC); TURN

Change Color to H

ROW 126: CH 1; work 1 SC into each SC until end (80 SC); TURN

NOTE: you will ONLY SKIP 2 SC at the START of this row

ROW 127: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); SKIP 2 SC;
(work 5 DC into next SC; SKIP 3 SC) 19 times; work 1 DC into last SC; TURN
(19 x SHELLS)

NOTE: you will ONLY CH 2 at the START and END of this row.

ROW 128 and 130: CH 1; work 1 SC into first DC; CH 2;
*work 1 SC into the 3rd DC of 5 DC SHELL; CH 4. Repeat until end; CH 2; work 1 SC into 3rd of 3 CH; TURN

ROW 129 : CH 3 (counts as 1 DC);
(work 5 DC into next SC) 19 times; work 1 DC into last SC; TURN
(19 x SHELLS)

ROW 131: CH 1; work 1 SC into first SC; work 2 SC into 2 CH space; work 1 SC into next SC.
*Work 3 SC into 4 CH space; work 1 SC into next SC. Repeat until last 2 CH space;
NOTE – to get the 80 SC count – you will work 3 SC into the LAST 2 CH space;
