MATERIALS:
Yarns:

Small amounts of the following:
Scheepjes Twinkle (Green – 931) ;
Nurturing Fibres Eco-Cotton Mist

Hooks & Notions:
Hook 4,50 mm
Yarn needle

Notes:
I use US Crochet stitch terminology.
Due to the nature of this pattern – the yarn and hook used is only a suggestion and any substitute may be used.
Size of finished product will vary depending on yarn and also size of hook used.

Size: approx 15 cm (6 inches) in diameter

Abbreviations:

CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)
BLP – back loop

Special Stitches:

2DCtog – work 2 double crochet stitches together into same space

3DCtog – work 3 double crochet stitches together into same space

4DCtog – work 4 double crochet stitches together into same space

FPSC – front post single crochet

FPDC – front post double crochet

INSTRUCTIONS:

CH 8; SL ST to make a ring;

RND 1: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 2DCtog; CH 2;
*work 3DCtog; CH 2. **
Repeat from * to ** 6 more times (8 clusters); SL ST into top of 1 st cluster.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

join yarn into any 2 CH space

RND 2: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 3DCtog into same space; CH 3;
*work 4DCtog into next 2 CH space; CH 3. **
Repeat from * to ** 6 more times (8 clusters); SL ST into top of 1 st cluster.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

  

join yarn into any 3 CH space

RND 3: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 3DCtog into same space; CH 4; work 4DCtog into same space.
*Work [4DCtog; CH 4; 4DCtog] into next 3 CH space.**
Repeat from * to ** 6 more times (16 clusters; 8 x 4 CH spaces)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

join yarn into any 4 CH space

RND 4: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 4 DC into same space; CH 1; work 1 DC in-between next 2 clusters; CH 1.
*Work 5 DC into next 4 CH space; CH 1; work 1 DC in-between next 2 clusters; CH 1.**
Repeat from * to ** 6 more times ( 8 x 5 DC groups; 8 x 1 DC between clusters.
Fasten off and rejoin same yarn into any 1 CH space BEFORE a 5 DC group

RND 5: *CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into next DC; work 2 DC into next 3 DC; work 1 DC into next DC;
CH 3; SL ST into 1 CH space; work 1 FPSC around next DC; SL ST into next 1 CH space.**
Repeat from * to ** 7 more times (8 x FPSC; 8 x 10 DC petals).
Fasten off and weave in ends.

join yarn into any the top of any 1 st 3 CH of a 10 DC group (petal) with a SC

RND 6: *work 1 SC into next 8 DC; work 1 SC into top of next 3 CH; work 1 FPDC around next FPSC;
work 1 SC into top of next 3 CH.**
Repeat from * to ** 7 more times. SL ST into first SC worked.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
