Weight – DK (11 wpi) 3 : Light – I used cotton yarn
Color – random
Name: 100% Cotton DK
Brand: MoYa

Meterage: 148 yards(135 meters)
Unit weight: 50 grams (1.76 ounces)
Gauge: 22.0 sts = 4 inches
Needle size: US 2½ – 6 or 3 – 4 mm
Hook size: 3 mm – 4 mm (G)
Fibers: 100% Cotton

Due to the nature of this pattern – the yarn and hook used is only a suggestion and any substitute may be used.
Size of finished product will vary depending on yarn and also size of hook used.

SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)

INSTRUCTIONS:
NOTES: working into back loops are optional
With yarn make a magic circle / or CH 6 and SL ST into first CH to form a ring
RND 1: CH 4 (counts as 1 DC and 1 CH space); work [1 DC; CH 1] 11 more times into ring;
SL ST into 3rd CH of 4 CH; (12 DC; 12 x 1 CH spaces)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Join new yarn into any 1 CH space;
NOTE: this round can be started two ways;
- Method 1 – CH 3 (counts) as 1 DC; work 2DCtog into SAME space; / or
- Method 2: using a STANDING DC; work 3DCtog into 1 CH space
RND 2: using either method 1 or 2 then;
* CH 3; work 3DCtog into next 1 CH space.**
Repeat from * to ** 10 more times; CH 3; SL ST into top of first Cluster (3DCtog)
(12 x Clusters; 12 x 3 CH spaces)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Join new yarn into any 3 CH space with a SC – this counts as your FIRST SC;
RND 3: (CH 5; work 1 SC into next 3 CH space) 11 times; CH 5;
SL ST into first SC worked;
(12 x 5 CH spaces; 12 SC)
RND 4: SL ST into next 5 CH space;
CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [3 DC; CH 3; 4 DC] into 5 CH space; CH 1;
work 1 SC into next 5 CH space; CH 2;
work 1 SC into next 5 CH space; CH 1.
*Work [4 DC; CH 3; 4 DC] into 5 CH space; CH 1;
work 1 SC into next 5 CH space; CH 2;
work 1 SC into next 5 CH space; CH 1.**
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Join new yarn into any 3 CH corner space;
RND 5: Work [1 SC; CH 2; 1 SC] into 3 CH space;
working into back-loops – work 1 SC into next 4 DC; CH 1; SKIP next 1 CH space;
work 1 SC into next SC; CH 2; SKIP next 2 CH space;
work 1 SC into next SC; CH 1; SKIP next 1 CH space;
