Due to the nature of this pattern – the yarn and hook used is only a suggestion and any substitute may be used.
Size of finished product will vary depending on yarn and also size of hook used.

CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)
BLP – back loop

INSTRUCTIONS:
Make a magic circle or CH 6 and SL ST to form a ring;
RND 1: CH 2 (does NOT count as a ST); work 12 DC into ring; SL ST into first DC worked.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Change color – join yarn into any DC
Optional – work into back-loops
RND 2: CH 2; work 1 DC into SAME DC; CH 4;
work (2DCtog over next 2 DC; CH 4) x 5;
SL ST into first DC worked.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Change color – join yarn into any 4 CH space;
RND 3: CH 3 (this counts as 1 DC); work 1 TR into RND 1 DC; work 1 TR into next RND 1 DC; work 1 DC into SAME 4 CH space; CH 2.
*Work [1 DC; work 1 TR into RND 1 DC; work 1 TR into next RND 1 DC; work 1 DC] into next 4 CH space; CH 2.**
Repeat from *to** 4 more times; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Change color – join yarn into first DC of 4 ST group;
Optional – work into back-loops
RND 4: *Work 1 SC into next 4 STS; work 1 SC into next 2 CH space; work 1 FPDC around next RND 2 2DCtog; work 1 SC into same 2 CH space.**
Repeat from *to** 5 more times. SL ST into first SC worked.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Change color – join yarn into first SC worked of previous round with a SC – this is your first SC
Optional – work into back-loops
RND 5: Work [1 HDC; 1 DC] into next SC; CH 2; work [1 DC; 1 HDC] into next SC; work 1 SC into next SC; work 1 DC into next SC; work 1 FPDC around next FPDC; work 1 DC into next SC.
*Work 1 SC into next SC; work [1 HDC; 1 DC] into next SC; CH 2; work [1 DC; 1 HDC] into next SC; work 1 SC into next SC; work 1 DC into next SC; work 1 FPDC around next FPDC; work 1 DC into next SC.**
Repeat from *to** 4 more times. SL ST into first SC worked.

Change color – join yarn into any 2 CH space;
RND 6: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into same 2 CH space;
CH 3; work 1 FPDC around next FPDC;
CH 3; work 1 SC into next 2 CH space;
CH 3; work 1 FPDC around next FPDC; CH 3.
Work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into next 2 CH space;
CH 6; work 1 FPDC around next FPDC; CH 6.
Work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into next 2 CH space;
