Concentration required.

Yarns:
Weight – DK (11 wpi) 3 : Light – I used cotton yarn
Color – random
Name: 100% Cotton DK
Brand: MoYa
Weight: DK (11 wpi) ?
Meterage: 148 yards(135 meters)
Unit weight: 50 grams (1.76 ounces)
Gauge: 22.0 sts = 4 inches
Needle size: US 2½ – 6 or 3 – 4 mm
Hook size: 3 mm – 4 mm (G)
Fibers: 100% Cotton
Texture: Plied

Hook 4,00 mm

I use US Crochet stitch terminology.
Due to the nature of this pattern – the yarn and hook used is only a suggestion and any substitute may be used.
Size of finished product will vary depending on yarn and also size of hook used.
Size: approx 15 cm (6 inches) in diameter
Abbreviations:
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)
BLP – back loop

INSTRUCTIONS:
CH 8; SL ST to form a ring
RND 1: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 2DCtog into ring; CH 2;
(work 3DCtog; CH 2) x 8 into ring.
(9 x Clusters; 9 x 2 CH spaces)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Join new yarn with a SC into ANY 2 CH space
RND 2: *CH 2; work 1 SC into the TOP of next Cluster; CH 2;
work 1 SC into next 2 CH space.**
Repeat from * to ** all around; work 1 SC into last Cluster;
join with a SL ST into first SC worked.
RND 3: SL ST into next 2 CH space; CH 6 (this counts as 1 DC and 3 CH space);
*work 1 DC into next 2 CH space; CH 3.**
Repeat from * to ** all around; SL ST into 3rd CH of 6 CH.
(18 x 3 CH spaces; 18 DC)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Join new yarn with a SC into ANY 3 CH space
RND 4: *Work 5 DC into next 3 CH space; work 1 SC into next 3 CH space.**
Repeat from * to ** all around; ending with a 5 DC into last 3 CH space; SL ST into first SC worked.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Join new yarn with a SC AROUND any RND 3 DC
RND 5: Work 1 SC around NEXT DC; CH 4.
*Work 1 SC around NEXT 2 DC; CH 4.**
Repeat from * to ** all around; SL ST into first SC worked.
(9 x 4 CH spaces; 18 SC)
NOTE: for the next round you will have 4 x 5DC and 5 x 4DC – this is correct!
I had a bit of a challenge to get this flower to fit for a square, lol

RND 6: SL ST into next 4 CH space; CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 3 DC into SAME 4 CH space.
(Work 5 DC into next 4 CH space; work 4 DC into next 4 CH space) 4 times.
SL ST into 3rd CH of 3 CH
(40 DC)
RND 7: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1DC; 3 CH; 2 DC] into SAME ST;
CH 5; SKIP NEXT 4 DC; work 1 SC into next DC; CH 5; SKIP NEXT 4 DC.
*Work [2 DC; 3 CH; 2 DC] into NEXT DC;
CH 5; SKIP NEXT 4 DC; work 1 SC into next DC; CH 5; SKIP NEXT 4 DC.**
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times. SL ST into 3rd CH of 3 CH.
RND 8: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into next DC;
work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into next 3 CH space; work 1 DC into next 2 DC;
work 1 DC into next 5 CH; work 1 DC into next SC;
work 1 DC into next 5 CH.
*Work 1 DC into next 2 DC; work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into next 3 CH space; work 1 DC into next 2 DC;

Join new yarn into ANY 2 CH corner space
RND 9: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into corner space;
work BPDC around each of next 19 DC.
*Work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into next corner space; work BPDC around each of next 19 DC.**
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into 3rd CH of 3 CH.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
