CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch

INSTRUCTIONS:
PART EIGHT:
For this part we need to work up 123 STS on each side; below I have an image to give an indication to how I worked my sts.
RND 1:
TO START – I worked my first corner into the SPACE between the first 2 DC of the final row of the strip;
[2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] – either CH 3 for your first DC or do the STANDING DC
- then I worked 123 DC across the full strip; then did my 2nd corner in-between the last 2 DC;
[2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] for corner; - then I worked up 24 DC across the side of the strip;
(24 DC across first square; 1 DC in join) 3 times;
then 24 DC across last square;
[2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into corner 2 CH space; - then I worked up 24 DC across the square; then 99 DC across the BIG square;
[2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into corner 2 CH space; - then I worked up 99 DC across the BIG square; and finally 24 across the side of the strip;
SL ST into 3rd CH of 3 CH or into the top of the Standing DC.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
You should have 127 DC on each side.

RND 2: starting in ANY 2 CH corner;
work 3 CH (counts as 1 DC) or do the STANDING DC work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into same corner;
(SKIP NEXT 3 DC; work 6 DC into next DC) 31 times; SKIP LAST 3 DC.
*Work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into next corner;
(SKIP NEXT 3 DC; work 6 DC into next DC) 31 times; SKIP LAST 3 DC.**
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into 3rd CH of 3 CH or into the top of the Standing DC.
RND 3: SL ST into 2 CH corner space; CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into same corner;
SKIP next 2 DC; work 1 SC into space BEFORE FAN (6 DC); CH 6;
(SKIP NEXT FAN; work 1 SC into next space between FANS; CH 6) x 31;
work 1 SC into next space before next 2 DC; SKIP NEXT 2 DC.
*Work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into same corner;
SKIP next 2 DC; work 1 SC into space BEFORE FAN (6 DC); CH 6;
(SKIP NEXT FAN; work 1 SC into next space between FANS; CH 6) x 31;
work 1 SC into next space before next 2 DC; SKIP NEXT 2 DC.**

Fasten off and weave in ends.
To continue border to make it larger – repeat round 3 and 4 – with round 4 instead of working 6 SC into the corners – continue to work normal corner [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC].
My final blocked blanket measures 35 inches (89 cm)
