Basic stitches, simple shaping and finishing.
Concentration required.
Yarn: Weight – DK (11 wpi) 3 : Light – I used cotton yarn – check the main introduction page!
Hook: 4,00 mm (G)
Size: 23 cm x 23 cm (approx. 9 inches)
Notes:
Tension/Gauge is not necessary for this project to be perfect
I use US Crochet stitch terminology
Abbreviations:
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet
HDC – half double crochet
DC – double crochet
TR – treble crochet
BLP – back loop

- Amazon – color A
- Natural – color B
- Butternut – color C

Special Stitches:
BEG Cluster: CH 3(counts as 1 DC); DC2tog (work 2 double crochet stitches together)
Cluster: DC3tog (work 3 double crochet stitches together)

INSTRUCTIONS:
With Color B
CH 8; SL ST into first CH to form a ring
RND 1: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 15 DC into ring (16 DC);
RND 2: *SL ST in-between next 2 DC; CH 3; SKIP next 2 DC.**
Repeat from * to ** 7 more times; SL ST into 1st CH of first 3 CH loop.
(8 x 3 CH loops)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
With color A; join into any 3 CH loop
RND 3: Work Beg Cluster into 3 CH loop; *CH 4; work Cluster into next 3 CH loop**.
Repeat from * to ** 6 more times; CH 4; SL ST into top of Beg Cluster.
(8 x Clusters; 8 x 4 CH spaces)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
With color G; join into any 4 CH space
RND 4: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [2 DC; 2 CH; 3 DC] into 4 CH space;
*work [3 DC; 2 CH; 3 DC] into next 4 CH space.**
Repeat from * to ** 6 more times. SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
(8 x 2 CH spaces; 16 x 3 DC groups)
RND 5: work 1 SC into the space between the 3 DC groups BEFORE where you have made the SL ST;
*work [3 DC; 3 CH; 3 DC] into next 2 CH space; work 1 SC into space between next 3 DC groups.**
Repeat from * to ** 6 more times; work [3 DC; 3 CH; 3 DC] into next 2 CH space; SL ST into first SC worked.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
NOTE: the next part is not classified as a round but as surface crochet;
TIP: to make it easier to work – fold the flower in half – just remember to keep the right way facing towards you!

RND 6: Work 1 SC into 3 CH space AND 12 CH loop; work [3 TR into next SC BEFORE 4 CH surface loop; CH 2;
work 3 TR AFTER 4 CH surface loop.
*Work 1 SC into next 3 CH space AND 12 CH loop; work [3 TR into next SC BEFORE 4 CH surface loop; CH 2;
work 3 TR AFTER 4 CH surface loop.**
Repeat from * to ** 6 more times; SL ST into first SC worked
Fasten off and weave in ends.
With color A; join into any 2 CH space
RND 7: CH 4 (counts as 1 TR); work [2 TR; 2 CH; 3 TR] into same space; CH 4;
work 1 DC into next SC; CH 4; work 1 SC into next 2 CH space; CH 4;
work 1 DC into next SC; CH 4.
*Work {3 TR; 2 CH; 3 TR] into same space; CH 4;
