Basic stitches, simple shaping and finishing.
Concentration required.
Yarn: Weight – DK (11 wpi) 3 : Light – I used cotton yarn – check the main introduction page!
Hook: 4,00 mm (G)
Size: 23 cm x 23 cm (approx. 9 inches)

Tension/Gauge is not necessary for this project to be perfect
I use US Crochet stitch terminology
Abbreviations:
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet
HDC – half double crochet
DC – double crochet
TR – treble crochet
BLP – back loop

SPECIAL STITCHES:
Starting Cluster – CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 2DCtog – 2 double crochet together – into same space or stitch.
Cluster – work 3DCtog – 3 double crochet together – into same space or stitch
V- ST – work [1 DC; 1 CH; 1 DC] into SAME space
Colors:
- Amazon – color A
- Natural – color B
- Butternut – color C
- Teal – color D
- Seafoam – color E
- Thunder – color F
- Cherry – color G

INSTRUCTIONS:
With Color B
CH 8; SL ST into first CH to form a ring
RND 1: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 15 DC into ring (16 DC);
RND 2: *SL ST in-between next 2 DC; CH 3; SKIP next 2 DC.**
Repeat from * to ** 7 more times; SL ST into 1st CH of first 3 CH loop.
(8 x 3 CH loops)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
With color G; join into any 3 CH loop
RND 3: CH 4 (counts as 1 DC and 1 CH space); work 1 DC into SAME 3 CH space; CH 1.
*Work V-ST into next 3 CH space; CH 1.**
Repeat from * to ** 6 more times. SL ST into 3rd of 4 CH.
(8 x V-STS)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
With color D; join into any 1 CH space IN-BETWEEN 2 V-ST’S
NOTE: after working a Cluster – close it by working 1 CH.
RND 4: Work Starting Cluster into 1 CH space; work V-ST into next V-ST.
*Work Cluster into next 1 CH space; work V-ST into next V-ST.**
Repeat from * to ** 6 more times. SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.

Fasten off and weave in ends.
With color E; join into any V-ST
RND 5: CH 4 (counts as 1 DC and 1 CH space); work 1 DC into SAME CH space; CH 2; work 1 FPDC around next Cluster; CH 2.
*Work V-ST into next V-ST; CH 2; work 1 FPDC around next Cluster; CH 2.**
Repeat from * to ** 6 more times. SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
(8 x FPDC; 8 x V-STS)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
With color G; join into any 2 CH space before a V-ST
NOTE: this round is worked in HDC – so your V-ST will be worked as follows – [HDC; CH 1; HDC]
RND 6: CH 2 (this does NOT count as a ST); work 2 HDC in 2 CH space; work V-ST into next V-ST; work 2 HDC into next 2 CH space; CH 1; SKIP FPDC.
*Work 2 HDC in 2 CH space; work V-ST into next V-ST; work 2 HDC into next 2 CH space; CH 1; SKIP FPDC.**
Repeat from * to ** 6 more times. SL ST into first HDC worked.

With color B ; join into any 1 CH space (above skipped FPDC)
