    – for this project to be joined with the least effort be sure to use the SAME hook throughout!

INSTRUCTIONS:

The Border:

I choose a simplified border to compliment the blanket then a more decorative border.

Starting in ANY corner – with A

RND 1: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into same corner –
*work up 162 DC evenly across side; work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into next edge corner.*
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; work up 162 DC evenly across side. SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
(166 DC on each side)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

With J – join into any 2 CH corner

RND 2: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into same corner; work 1 DC into each DC across.
*Work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into next corner; work 1 DC into each DC across.**
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
(170 DC on each side)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

With D – join into any 2 CH corner

RND 3: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into same corner; work 1 DC into each DC across.
*Work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into next corner; work 1 DC into each DC across.**
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
(174 DC on each side)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

With I – join into any 2 CH corner

Picot: CH 3; SL ST into 3rd CH from hook.

RND 4: Work [1 SC; Picot; 1 SC] into same corner; *Picot; SKIP next 1 DC; work 1 SC into next DC.**
Repeat from * to ** until next corner; ending with a Picot.
(Work [1 SC; Picot; 1 SC] into next corner; repeat from * to ** until next corner; ending with a Picot.) x 3;
SL ST into first SC worked.
(87 Picots on each side and 1 Picot in each corner)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
