Notes: Tension is NOT necessary for this project to be perfect – same type of yarn and hook throughout the project is recommended.

Hook 3. 75 (F) Clover

I use US Crochet stitch terminology.
Due to the nature of this pattern – the yarn and hook used is only a suggestion and any substitute may be used.
Size of finished product will vary depending on yarn and also size of hook used.
Size: approx 13 cm (5 inches) in diameter
Abbreviations:
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)
BLP – back loop

INSTRUCTIONS:
Colors: I only use 4 colors for each Hexagon
- Aqua – A
- Baltic – B
- Vanilla – C
- Mist – D
- Anvil – E
- Cobblestone – F
- Charcoal – G
- Pecan – H
With B
CH 6; SL ST to form a ring
RND 1: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work 1 DC into ring; (CH 3; work 2 DC into ring) 5 times; CH 3; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH. (6 x 2 DC groups = 12 DC) Fasten off and weave in ends.
With C join into any 3 CH space
Starting Cluster – CH 3; work 2 double crochet (DC) together into same space
Cluster – work 3 double crochet (DC) together into same space
RND 2: Work [Starting Cluster; CH 2; Cluster] into 3 CH space; CH 2.
*Work [Cluster; CH 2; Cluster] into next 3 CH space; CH 2.**
Repeat from * to ** 4 more times. SL ST into top of Starting Cluster.
(12 x Clusters; 12 x 2 CH spaces)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
With A join 2 CH space between Clusters
RND 3: CH 4 (counts as 1 DC and 1 CH space); *work FPDC around next Cluster; CH 3; work FPDC around next Cluster; CH 1; work 1 DC into next 2 CH space; CH 1.**
Repeat from to 4 more times; work FPDC around next Cluster; CH 3; work FPDC around next Cluster CH 1.
SL ST into 3rd of 4th CH of 4 CH.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
With D join into ANY DC worked BETWEEN 1 CH spaces
RND 4: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; CH 2; 2 DC] into SAME DC; work 1 DC into next 1 CH space; work 1 DC into next FPDC; work (1 HDC; 2 SC; 1 HDC) into next 3 CH space; work 1 DC into next FPDC; work 1 DC into next 1 CH space.
*Work [2 DC; CH 2; 2 DC] into SAME DC; work 1 DC into next 1 CH space; work 1 DC into next FPDC; work (1 HDC; 2 SC; 1 HDC) into next 3 CH space; work 1 DC into next FPDC; work 1 DC into next 1 CH space.**
Repeat from * to ** 4 more times. SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
With B join into any 2 CH corner space (2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC)
Note: for this round work into back-loops
RND 5: Work 1 SC into same space; work 1 SC into next 4 DC; work 1 SC into next HDC; work 1 SC into next SC;
work 1 TR into 2 CH space of RND 2; work 1 SC into next SC; work 1 SC into next HDC; work 1 SC into next 4 DC.
*Work 1 SC into next 2 CH corner space; work 1 SC into next 4 DC; work 1 SC into next HDC; work 1 SC into next SC; work 1 TR into 2 CH space of RND 2; work 1 SC into next SC; work 1 SC into next HDC; work 1 SC into next 4 DC.**
Repeat from * to ** 4 more times; SL ST into first SC worked.
(13 STS per side – [12 SC; 1 TR]; 6 SC – 1 for each corner) – you should have 13 STS for each side – NOT including corner SC. Fasten off and weave in ends.
