Sweet Hearts Crochet Doily – Free Crochet Pattern
Supplies/Materials:
- Yarn – Moya DK 100% cotton
Pomegranate (pink)
Peach
Rusty Red (light red)
Cherry (red)
Natural
approx 30 gr in each color - Hook – 4,00 mm (G) – I used Clover
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
Abbreviations: US Terminology
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)
BLP – back loop
Gauge:
Gauge is NOT necessary for this project to be perfect.
Finished Size:
My FINAL Serving Tray Doily size – 12.5 inches (30 cm) in diameter.
Pattern Notes:
Due to the nature of this pattern – the yarn and hook used is only a suggestion and any substitute may be used.
Size of finished product will vary depending on yarn and also size of hook used.
Special Stitches:
Beg CL: CH 3; work 2DC together
CL (cluster): work 3DC together
Instructions:
With color
Chain 6; SL ST into 6th chain to form a ring
RND 1: Work Beg CL; (CH 3; work CL into ring) x 5; CH 3; SL ST into top of Beg CL.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Join new yarn into any 3 CH space
RND 2: Work Beg CL; [CH 3; work CL] into same space; CH 2.
*Work [CL; CH 3; CL] into next 3 CH space; CH 2.**
Repeat from * to ** 4 more times; SL ST into top of Beg CL.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Join new yarn into any 2 CH space
RND 3: Work 3 SC into 2 CH space; CH 8; SKIP next (CL; 3 CH space; CL).
*Work 3 SC into next 2 CH space; CH 8; SKIP next (CL; 3 CH space; CL).**
Repeat from * to ** 4 more times; SL ST into first SC worked.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Pull each 8 CH loop thru 3 CH space below
Join new yarn into any 1st SC of a 3 SC group
RND 4: Work 1 SC into next 3 SC; CH 2; work [CL; 3 CH; CL] into next 3 CH space.
*CH 2; work 1 SC into next 3 SC; CH 2; work [CL; 3 CH; CL] into next 3 CH space.**
Repeat from *to** 4 more times; CH 2; SL ST into first SC worked.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Join new yarn into any 1st SC of a 3 SC group
RND 5: Work 1 SC into next 3 SC; work 1 SC into next 2 CH space; CH 2;
work 1 SC into CH 8 loop AND 3 CH space; CH 2.
*Work 1 SC into next 2 CH space; work 1 SC into next 3 SC; work 1 SC into next 2 CH space; CH 2;
work 1 SC into CH 8 loop AND 3 CH space; CH 2.**
Repeat from *to** 4 more times; work 1 SC into next 2 CH space; SL ST into first SC worked.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Join new yarn into any SC worked into a CH 8 loop
