Safari Animal Crochet Bag – Free Crochet Pattern

Supplies/Materials:

  • Yarn – approx 25-50 grams of double knitting/light worsted yarn, in blue, orange/yellow, pink, brown, beige, black and white) plus small amounts of double knitting/light worsted yarn, in white and black for eyes; plus oddments for completing ball; Weight – DK (11 wpi) 3 : Light.
    I used Elle (Saprotex) Family Knit Classic Double Knit
  • Hook – 3, 50 mm (E) – I used Clover
  • Hook – 4, 00 mm (G) – I used Clover
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle
  • Fiberfill/Toy Stuffing

Abbreviations: US Terminology
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet
DC – double crochet
HDC – half double crochet
TR – treble crochet
DECR – decrease over next two stitches – SC2tog – single crochet next two stitches together
FO – fasten off
MM – move marker (stitch marker)

Gauge:
Gauge is NOT necessary for this project to be perfect

Finished Size:
Approx 12 inches in diameter (30 cm).

Due to the nature of this pattern – the yarn and hook used is only a suggestion and any substitute may be used.
