Hexagon should measure approx 4 inch (10 cm) for point (2 CH space) to point.
Joining The Hexagons:
You will only join 2 (two) hexagons to each other.
Turn hexagons over so that you are working on the back side.
With sewing needle and some yarn (any color) – you will weave the yarn thru the loop at the back just below the top V – see photos – it will be 9 loops.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Joining Star – Make 1 (one)
With Mint (approx 5 grams (10/13 yards) – make a magic ring.
TIP: when joining to hexagons – work on a flat surface – this give better control as to where you need to insert your hook – done stress you are only working into the 2 CH point spaces.
Layout hexagons as shown in first photo.
RND 1: CH 2 (does NOT count as 1 ST); work 12 DC into ring;
Joining RND: *Work 1 SC into next 2 DC; work [1 HDC; 1 DC; 1 TR] into next SC; SL ST into Hexagon 2 CH space twice – first right one (turquoise), then into left one (pink); work [1 TR; 1 DC; 1 HDC] into SAME SC;
work 1 SC into next 2 DC; work [1 HDC; 1 DC; 1 TR] into next SC; SL ST into Hexagon 2 CH space twice – first right one (pink), then into left one (turquoise); work [1 TR; 1 DC; 1 HDC] into SAME SC.**
Repeat from * to ** once more; SL ST into first SC worked.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Joining Triangle – Make 2 (two)
With Mint (approx 5 grams (10/13 yards) – CH 10
ROW 1: work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook; work 1 SC into each SC until end (9 SC); TURN
ROW 2: CH 1; work 2DCtog (decrease); work 1 DC into next 5 SC; work 2DCtog (decrease) (7 STS); TURN
ROW 3: CH 1; work 2DCtog (decrease); work 1 DC into next 3 DC; work 2DCtog (decrease) (5 STS); TURN
ROW 4: CH 1; work 2DCtog (decrease); work 1 DC into next 1 DC; work 2DCtog (decrease) (3 STS); TURN
ROW 5: CH 1; work 3DCtog (decrease); – do NOT fasten off.
Joining RND:
place triangle with point towards the 2 CH spaces of the hexagons – see photo – SL ST into both 2 CH space;
then moving down the side; SL ST triangle and hexagon together thru 10 stitches;
work 9 SC across bottom chain; moving down the last side; SL ST triangle and hexagon together thru 10 stitches.
