Sweet Pink Crochet Baby Jacket Part One
– Free Crochet Along –
Supplies/Materials:
- Yarn –Vinnis Colours Nikkim (cotton yarn) approx 260 yards (238 meters) 2 x 50 g balls (3,50 oz/100g)
Weight – DK (11 wpi) - Hook – 4, 00 mm (G) – Clover
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
- 4 x 1,5 cm in diameter Buttons
Colors:
A – Princess Pink 50 g x 1
B – Princess Baby Mink 50 g x 1
Abbreviations: US Terminology
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
RS – right side
WS- wrong side
Gauge:
Not necessary for this project to be perfect.
With the yarn, hook and my tension:
However if you use a different yarn and/or hook sizing will differ.
Finished Size:
0-3 month – 4, 00mm hook
Approx 10 inches (26 cm) across waist x 10 inches (26 cm) in length.
Sizes:
3-6 month – 4,50mm hook
6-12 month – 5,00 mm hook
Pattern Notes:
Please note if different yarn and hook is used sizing will differ.
Pattern is worked from the neckline down.

Instructions:
Part One
With yarn A – CH 55
Note: the 3 CH at the start of each row counts as 1 DC.
(FS) ROW 1: Work 1 DC into 4th CH from hook; work 1 DC into next 6 CH; work 3 DC into next CH; work 1 DC into next 8 CH; work 3 DC into next CH; work 1 DC into next 17 CH; work 3 DC into next CH; work 1 DC into next 8 CH; work 3 DC into next CH; work 1 DC into next 8 CH; (61 DC) TURN
(WS) ROW 2: CH 3; *work 1 DC into each until next 3DC group; work 1 DC into next DC; work 3 DC into next DC – this is the center DC of 3DC group.**
Repeat from * to ** until last 3DC group; work 1 DC into next DC; work 3DC into next DC; work 1 DC into each DC until end; work 1 DC into top of 3 CH; (69 DC) TURN.
Repeat ROW 2 for 8 more rows – you will end with a wrong side row; (133 DC)
(RS) ROW 11: CH 1; work 1 SC into each DC (133 SC).
Shaping Arm Holes:
CH 1; work 1 SC into next 19 STS; SKIP next 28; work 1 SC into next 39 STS; SKIP next 28; work 1 SC into next 19 STS
Fasten off and weave in ends.
