Sweet Pink Crochet Baby Jacket Part Three
– Free Crochet Along –
Supplies/Materials:
- Yarn –Vinnis Colours Nikkim (cotton yarn) approx 260 yards (238 meters) 2 x 50 g balls (3,50 oz/100g)
Weight – DK (11 wpi) - Hook – 4, 00 mm (G) – Clover
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
- 4 x 1,5 cm in diameter Buttons
Colors:
A – Princess Pink 50 g x 1
B – Princess Baby Mink 50 g x 1
Abbreviations: US Terminology
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
RS – right side
WS- wrong side
Gauge:
Not necessary for this project to be perfect.
With the yarn, hook and my tension:
However if you use a different yarn and/or hook sizing will differ.
Finished Size:
0-3 month – 4, 00mm hook
Approx 10 inches (26 cm) across waist x 10 inches (26 cm) in length.
Sizes:
3-6 month – 4,50mm hook
6-12 month – 5,00 mm hook
Pattern Notes:
Please note if different yarn and hook is used sizing will differ.
Pattern is worked from the neckline down.

Instructions:
Part Three
With yarn A – start into 3rd SC worked in left side section top corner.
SL ST into next 5 SC; (CH 4 for first Buttonhole; work SL ST into next 2 SC) x 4 times; SL ST into each SC all around; working final SL ST into first SC of right side section top corner.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Finishing:
Sew on 4 buttons to on right side section to match the buttonholes.
Optional: Flower appliqué
With Natural yarn approx 6 g
Make a magic ring/ or CH 6; SL ST into first CH to form a ring.
RND 1: CH 1; work 12 SC into ring;
SL ST into first SC worked.
RND 2: CH 3; work 1 DC into same SC; work 1 DC into next SC; CH 3 and SL ST into same SC.
* SL ST into next SC; work [ CH 3; 1 DC] into same SC; work [1 DC; CH 3; SL ST] into next SC.**
Repeat from * to ** 4 more times.
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing Flower onto jacket.
With pink yarn approx 2 g
Embroider leaves onto the jacket next to the Flower.
