Sweet Pink Crochet Baby Jacket Part Two
– Free Crochet Along –
Supplies/Materials:
- Yarn –Vinnis Colours Nikkim (cotton yarn) approx 260 yards (238 meters) 2 x 50 g balls (3,50 oz/100g)
Weight – DK (11 wpi) - Hook – 4, 00 mm (G) – Clover
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
- 4 x 1,5 cm in diameter Buttons
Colors:
A – Princess Pink 50 g x 1
B – Princess Baby Mink 50 g x 1
Abbreviations: US Terminology
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
RS – right side
WS- wrong side
Gauge:
Not necessary for this project to be perfect.
With the yarn, hook and my tension:
However if you use a different yarn and/or hook sizing will differ.
Finished Size:
0-3 month – 4, 00mm hook
Approx 10 inches (26 cm) across waist x 10 inches (26 cm) in length.
Sizes:
3-6 month – 4,50mm hook
6-12 month – 5,00 mm hook
Pattern Notes:
Please note if different yarn and hook is used sizing will differ.
Pattern is worked from the neckline down.

Instructions:
Part Two
With yarn B – continue on wrong side.
Stitch Pattern: Grit
Pattern Row: CH 1; work 1 SC into first SC; work [1 DC; 1 SC] into next SC; SKIP next SC.
*Work [1 DC; 1 SC] into next SC; SKIP next SC. **
Repeat from * to ** until last 3 STS; work [1 DC; 1 SC] into next SC; SKIP next SC; work 1 SC into last SC (77 STS); TURN
Pattern Row 2: CH 1; work 1 SC into first SC; work [1 DC; 1 SC] into next SC; SKIP next DC.
*Work [1 DC; 1 SC] into next SC; SKIP next SC.**
Repeat from * to ** until last 3 STS; work [1 DC; 1 SC] into next SC; SKIP next DC; work 1 SC into last SC (77 STS); TURN
Repeat Pattern ROW 2 for 13 more rows – you will end with a wrong side row;
FINAL ROW – this is the border round: CH 1; work 1 SC into each ST until last SC; work 3 SC into final SC (corner); continue working SC stitches evenly up the right front section rows – 2 SC into each row; work 3 SC into first foundation CH (corner); work 1 SC into each foundation CH around the neck line; work 3 SC into last CH (corner) continue working SC stitches evenly down the left front section rows – 2 SC into each row; work 2 SC into SAME ST as first SC worked (corner).
Fasten off and weave in ends.
