Joining:

With E – work as follows;

SL ST four squares togethers (3 x flower, 1 x other) – twice.
You will have two pieces.
SL ST a side panel to the side on a piece – twice.

Work 1 rounds of SC around each piece – see photos for guide.

Constructing the Bag:

With E – work as follows;

Place both pieces together – wrongs sides (inner) facing towards each other. The front (outside) should be facing towards you.
Starting on the left hand side, SL ST the two pieces together.

The left, bottom and right hand side should now be stitched closed, leaving the top open,

Continuing with yarn; work SC along evenly all around the opening of the bag; SL ST into first SC worked.

Work 8 rounds as follows:

CH 1; work 1 SC into each SC all around; SL ST into first SC worked.
(approx. 81 SC)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

With B – join into first SC of round.

Work approx. 30 SC; CH 21; SKIP next 21 SC; work approx. 60 SC; CH 21; SKIP next 21 SC; work 30 SC.
Theoretically this should work out correctly – however an easier method would be to lay your bag flat, mark with stitch markers where you would like your handle to be and work SC; then CH stitches for handle, SKIP enough stitches and work SC around to next stitch marker.

SL ST into first SC worked.

Next RND: CH 1; work 1 SC into each SC and CH ST all round; SL ST into first SC worked,
Next 6 RNDS: CH 1; work 1 SC into each SC all around; SL ST into first SC worked.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Finishing:

With C – join into any SC of the handle section; work 1 SC into each SC; work 2SCtog over the join of the colors (corner); then work 1 SC into each CH ST; work 2 SC tog over the join (corner); work 1 SC until first SC worked.
SL ST and fasten off. Weave in ends.

Optional: Little Flower

With A – CH 4; SL ST to form a ring.

RND 1: CH 2 (does not count as ST); work 12 DC into ring; SL ST into first DC worked.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

With D – join into any DC.

RND 2: work [1 SC; 1 HDC; 1 DC] into join DC; work [1 DC; 1 HDC; 1 SC] into next DC.
*Work [1 SC; 1 HDC; 1 DC] into next DC; work [1 DC; 1 HDC; 1 SC] into next DC.**
Repeat from * to ** 4 more times; SL ST into first SC worked.
(6 Petals)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
