Basic stitches in simple variations, shaping and finishing.
You will need to know basic stitches like SC (single crochet).
Special stitches explained and provided in the instructions.
Materials
- Hook – 3, 50 mm (E)
- Scissor
- Yarn Needle
- Mini Pompoms x 3
- Small Buttons x 3
Yarn:
Vinnis Colours – DK Nikkim 100% cotton (50 grams/119 meters/130 yards)
Weight – DK (11 wpi) 3: Light.
Approx 25 grams / 59 meters / 65 yards per basket and hat.
Colors:
- A – Natural 1 x 50g
- B – Kingfisher approx. 10g
- C – Tomato 1 x 50g
- D – Midnight approx. 5g
- E – Fern 1 x 50g
Yarn Substitute:
Using the same type of yarn throughout the project is recommended. The pattern suggests Cotton DK yarn, but you are not limited to this type of yarn. Any yarn can be used if you take into consideration your sizing for the project will differ.
Tension | Gauge
Gauge is NOT necessary for this project to be perfect.
However COUNTING your stitches will ensure a true success of this project!
Size
Basket – 3 inches / 8 cm in diameter (bottom); 2 inches / 5 cm in height.
Hat – 5 inches / 12 cm in width (brim); 4,5 inches / 11 cm in height (not including pompom)
Remember – if you use/choose a different yarn weight/hook size your gift basket will be a different size!
