
Snazzy Snowman Crochet Dishcloth
Whip up this Snazzy Snowman Crochet Dishcloth for a fun addition to your
kitchen holiday décor or make him as a square for a blanket!

Snazzy Snowman Crochet Dishcloth
Supplies/Materials:
- Yarn – Vinnis Colours Tori or Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton
– approx 46 – 50 yards (42 – 46 m)(colors listed in Pattern Notes); Weight – Bulky (7 wpi) / Worsted (9 wpi) - Hook – 5.5 mm (I)
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
Easy – Basic stitches, simple shaping and finishing.
Gauge:
Gauge is NOT necessary for this project to be perfect.
However if you use a different yarn and hook sizing will differ.
Finished Size:
Approx 23 x 23 cm (9 x 9 inches)
Colors:
Note: Vinnis Colors listed first then Lionbrand.
A – Green = Green Slate / Grass
B – White = Natural / White
C – Blue = Royal Blue / Navy
D – Red = Coral / Red
Small amounts of orange ( Dark Peach / Tangerine) and black ( Storm / Black)

Abbreviations: US Terminology
CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)
BLP – back loop
RS – Right side
WS – Wrong side

Instructions:
With A yarn CH 26
ROW 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook; then work 1 SC into each CH until end (25 SC); TURN
ROW 2: CH 2 (counts as 1 HDC); then work 1 HDC into each ST until end (25 HDC); TURN
ROW 3: CH 1; work 1 SC into each ST until end (25 SC); Note – change to B on the last SC worked; TURN
ROW 4/6/8/10/12/14/16/18: CH 2 (counts as 1 HDC); then work 1 HDC into each ST until end (25 HDC); TURN
Note – change to C on the last SC worked on Row 18;
ROW 5/7/9/11/13/15/17: CH 1; work 1 SC into each ST until end (25 SC); TURN
ROW 19/21/23/25: CH 1; work 1 SC into each ST until end (25 SC); TURN
ROW 20/22/24: CH 2 (counts as 1 HDC); then work 1 HDC into each ST until end (25 HDC); TURN
ROW 26: working into back-loops only – CH 1; work 1 SC into next 20 STS (20 SC); TURN
Special Stitch: SC2tog – single crochet two together
ROW 27: SC2tog; work 1 SC into each until last 2 STS; SC2tog; TURN
Repeat ROW 27 until there are 4 STS left; TURN
ROW 35: CH 1; work 1 SC into each ST (4 SC); TURN
ROW 39: SC2tog twice (2 STS left); TURN
Row 40: SC2tog; TURN
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Border:
With D yarn join into any corner and evenly work SC sts all around – when working at the back of the ‘hat’ part work into the exposed loops:

Rejoin yarn and work SC sts all around the ‘back’ part of the hat – the part that flops down over the square.
Fasten off and weave in all ends
Eyes: make 2
With Black yarn – Make a magic ring;
RND 1; work 6 SC into ring;
RND 2: work 2 SC into each SC (12 SC)
RND 3: work [1 SC; 1 HDC; 1 DC] into next ST; work [1 DC; 1 HDC; 1 SC] into next ST.
SL ST all around eye. Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
Nose:
With Orange yarn – CH 13
Work 1 SC into 2nd Ch from hook; work 1 SC into next 2 CH;
work 1 HDC into next 3 CH; work 1 DC into next 3 CH;
work 1 TR into last 3 CH.
SL ST all around nose. Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
Sew eyes and nose into position onto the white part of the square.
Make a red pom-pom and attach to the tip of the blue’ hat’.
