My Crochet Jungle Playbook – designed by Joanita Theron

A six-page, fun crochet jungle themed playbook. Each page is uniquely themed to the jungle. Includes a set of five animal finger puppets. Possibilities for lots of accessories and extras.

A Scraps of Yarn Project:
The perfect project to do to use up all your bits and pieces from your leftover yarn.
This is completely optional, and it can be worked in coordinated colors.

Difficulty Level | Skills Required

– Easy to Intermediate
Basic stitches in simple variations, simple repeats, color changes, shaping and finishing.

You will need to know basic stitches like SC (single crochet) and DC (double crochet).
Lots of smaller pieces are crochet first and then attached.

Materials

  • Hook – 3, 50 mm (E) & 4, 00 mm (G)
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle
  • Extras required given with each playbook page instructions.

Yarn:
Yarn – any DK (Acrylic or Cotton) is recommended.
Weight – DK (11 wpi) 3: Light.

For this project I used an assortment of colors – there are no preset color coordinates.

Yarn Substitute:
Using the same type of yarn throughout the project is recommended. The pattern suggests DK yarn, but you are not limited to this type of yarn. Any yarn can be used if you take into consideration your sizing for the project will differ.

Tension | Gauge

Gauge is NOT necessary for this project to be perfect.
