Fold Up Teddy Crochet Play Sets

Cute Fold Up Teddy Crochet Play Sets that fold up into a little bag with pockets.

Difficulty Level | Skills Required

Adventurous Beginner to Intermediate
Basic stitches in simple variations, simple repeats, color changes, shaping and finishing.

You will need to know basic stitches like SC (single crochet) and DC (double crochet).
Special stitches explained and provided in the instructions.

Materials

  • Hook – 3, 25 mm and 3, 00 mm
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle
  • Glue/Stick on eyes
  • Buttons – approx 1 – 1,5 cm in diameter
  • Fiberfill / Toy Stuffing
  • Black thin yarn or embroidery thread
  • Optional – ribbons and beads

Yarn:

Moya 100% Cotton Double Knit (cotton yarn).
Weight – DK (11 wpi) Approx. – 400 grams (592 yards / 540 meters)

Note: this is a great project to use scraps / left over yarn!

Beach Theme:

  • 3 x Blues – Cobalt, Teal and Aqua
  • 2 x Browns – Chestnut (Teddy Bear), Burntfudge (Beach)
  • Natural
  • Coral, Yellow and Kiwi for the accessories

Ballerina Theme:

  • 3 x Pinks – Coral, Pink and Watermelon
  • Fandango (purple)
  • Vanilla
  • Natural

Yarn Substitute:
Using the same type of yarn throughout the project is recommended. The pattern suggests DK yarn, but you are not limited to this type of yarn. Any yarn can be used if you take into consideration your sizing for the project will differ.

Tension | Gauge

Tension/Gauge is not necessary for this project to be perfect.

Size

Flat – Approx. 10 inch (26 cm) in lenght and 14 inch (36 cm) in width.
Bag – Approx. 7 inch (18 cm)

Remember – if you use/choose a different yarn weight/hook size your playset will be a different size!

Helpful Tips | Hints

  • With a project of this size, it is recommended to weave in ends as you go.
  • It is important to count the stitches to ensure success.
  • Most importantly, have fun and enjoy the process.
