You set your pace and work on your own time!

We are globally facing the Covid-19 epidemic. Most us have already been in lock down and we here in South Africa are now starting our lock down. This is a scary and extremely challenging time for most of us. We humans are very emotional beings and since I belong to such a creative community, I thought what better way to help express our feelings then with a mood blanket – much like a temperature blanket – this one associates colour with emotions.

How This Mood Blanket Works:

This blanket works really simple – there is no size, yarn, hook size or any specific specifications you need to do this project.

You follow the Mood Color guide below and crochet a simple granny crochet square (instructions below) according to what you are feeling each day while in lock down. If you are like me, you will not be crocheting just one square! There is no limit on our emotions and neither should there be on your squares you make!

This blanket is to inspire positive thoughts and goodness thru a very scary and challenging time. I have not associated any colours for emotions like fear, panic and anxiety. I want us to be able to look at this blanket at the end of the darkness as a light. To be able to say that we were strong, had courage and faith to walk thru the darkness.

Join my Facebook Group to share your squares! I will be sharing mine and why I choose my colors!
