My Crochet Dollhouse Playbook Part Four

PATTERN SUPPORT

Abbreviations:  US Terminology

CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)
BLP – back loop
RS – Right side
WS – Wrong side

Instructions:

The Kitchen

Yarns: scraps of double knitting/light worsted yarn in assorted colors(from 2 yards to 50 yards) – pink, blue, green, yellow, purple, and white

Hooks & Notions:

  • Size 3.50 mm Hook
  • Yarn Needle
  • Stitch Marker
  • 6 x Large Press Button (Snap Fastener)
  • 1 x Large Button, 2 x Small Button
  • 6 x Small Buttons (to look like cookies)
  • Needle and Thread

PROJECT NOTES:

This page is worked on a new page. Use your own embellishments to decorate your page – the only limit is your imagination!

Fridge:

With white yarn, CH 21

Row 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook, work 1 SC into each CH until end, turn. (20 SC)
Row 2 – 40: CH1, work 1 SC into each ST until end, turn. (20 SC)

After last row SL ST all around door. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Shelves:

With white yarn, CH 19

Row 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook, work 1 SC into each CH until end, turn. (18 SC)
Fasten off and use tail to sew shelf onto page.

Sew only left side of door onto page. Sew shelves onto page – use photo as guide.

Cheese, Milk & Salad:

Cheese:

With yellow yarn, CH 7

Row 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook, work 1 SC into each CH until end (6 SC), turn.
Row 2: CH1, work 1 SC into each ST until end, turn. (6 SC)
Row 3: CH1, SC2tog, work 1 SC into next 2 STS, SC2tog, turn. (4 SC)
Row 4: CH1, work 1 SC into each ST until end, turn. (4 SC)
Row 5: CH1, SC2tog twice (2 SC), turn.
Row 6: CH1, work 1 SC into each ST until end, (2 SC) turn.
Row 7: CH1 SC2tog, turn.
Row 8: CH1, SL ST all around.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Milk:

With white yarn, CH 6

Row 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook, work 1 SC into each CH until end (5 SC), turn.
Row 2-6: CH1, work 1 SC into each ST until end, turn. (5 SC)
Row 7: CH1, SC2tog, work 1 SC into next ST, SC2tog (3 SC), turn.
Row 8: CH1, SC3tog (1 SC), turn.
Row 9: CH1, work 2 SC into ST, turn.
Row 10: CH1, work 1 SC into each ST, (2 SC) turn.
Row 11: CH1, SL ST all around.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Salad Bowl:

With pink yarn, CH 5

Row 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook, work 1 SC into each CH until end (4 SC), turn.
Row 2: CH1, work 2 SC into first ST, work 1 SC into next 2 STS, work 2 SC into last ST (6 SC), turn.
Row 3: CH1, work 1 SC into each ST until end (6 SC), turn.
Row 4: – FOR THIS ROW ONLY WORK IN FRONTLOOPS: CH1, work 2 SC into first ST, work 1 SC into next 4 STS, work 2 SC into last ST (8 SC), SL ST all around. Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing bowl onto page.

Join some green yarn into the first back loop of row 4 and work as follows:

Work 1 SC, 2 DC, 1 SC into each loop – if it is too puffy – work only 1 SC, 1 DC, 1 SC into each loop.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Sew Salad Bowl onto the bottom shelf. Attach Press Buttons/Snap Fasteners onto the Milk and Cheese.
One part onto the Milk/Cheese and the other just above the shelves.

Cupboard:

With color yarn, make a magic ring.

Rnd 1: CH3 (counts as 1 DC), work 11 DC into ring (12 DC), join with a SL ST into top of 3CH – change color.
Rnd 2: CH3 (counts as 1 DC) work a 2 DC cluster into same ST, work a 3 DC cluster into each ST until end (12 Clusters) – SL ST into top of 3 CH – change color.
Rnd 3: Join new color with a SL ST in between any cluster, CH 3 (counts as 1 DC), work 2 DC, CH2, 3 DC into same ST, work 3 DC in between next cluster, work 3 DC in between next cluster.
*Work 3 DC, CH 2, 3 DC in between next cluster, work 3 DC in between next cluster, work 3 DC in between next cluster. ** Repeat from * to ** twice more. SL ST into top of 3 CH – fasten off and change color.
Rnd 4: join new color with a SL ST into any 2 CH corner, CH 3 (counts as 1 DC), work 2 DC, CH2, 3 DC into same corner, work 3 DC into next space, work 3 DC into next space.
*Work 3 DC, CH2, 3 DC into next corner, work 3 DC into next space, work 3 DC into next space. ** Repeat from * to ** until end. SL ST into top of 3 CH. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Join new yarn with a SC into a corner, work 1 SC into each ST until next corner, work 1 SC into corner, turn.
(17 SC)

Row 2 – 20: CH1, work 1 SC into each ST until end (17 SC).

Fasten off after last row and weave in ends. With a new color yarn SL ST all around cupboard. Surface SL ST a shelve the center of the top part. Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

Stove Outer:
With color yarn, CH 16

Row 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook, work 1 SC
into each ST until end (15 SC), turn.
Row 2 – 15: CH1 work 1 SC into each ST until end (15 SC) turn.
Fasten off after last row, weave in ends.
Join new color and SL ST all around, leave a tail for sewing.

Stove Inner:
With color yarn, CH 16

Row 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook, work 1 SC
into each ST until end (15 SC), turn.
Row 2 – 8: CH1 work 1 SC into each ST until end (15 SC) turn.
Row 9: CH1, work 1 SC into next 3 STS (3 SC), turn.
Row 10 – 22: CH1, work 1 SC into each ST (3 SC), turn.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Join yarn on the opposite side and work 14 rows SC.
Row 1 – 14: CH 1, work 1 SC into 3 STS, turn.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Stove Plates: (make 2)

With black yarn, make a magic ring.

Rnd 1: Work 6 SC into ring – continue in the round,
Rnd 2: Work 2 SC into each SC (12 SC).  Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

Sew plates onto stove, sew stove into position. Sew stove outer onto page, attach at the bottom only.
Add two Press button/Snap fasteners onto the inside of stove, sew on two small buttons onto the outside.

Pan:

With purple yarn, make a magic ring.

Rnd 1: Work 6 SC into ring – continue in the round.
Rnd 2: Work 2 SC into each SC (12 SC).
Rnd 3: Work 2 SC into first SC, work 1 SC into next SC,
*Work 2 SC into next ST, work 1 SC into next ST. **
Repeat from *t o **until end. (18 SC)
Rnd 4: Work 2 SC into first SC, work 1 SC into next 2 STS.
* Work 2 SC into next ST, work 1 SC into next 2 STS. **
Repeat from * to **until end. (24 SC)
Rnd 5: working into back-loops only – Work 1 SC into each ST until end, turn and SL ST into each ST.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Handle:
With brown yarn CH 11

Work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook work 1 SC into each ST until end, continue in the round and SL ST all around. Fasten off and attach the handle to pan.

Baking Sheets: (Make 2)
With yarn CH 9

Row 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook, work 1 SC into each ST until end (8 SC), turn.
Row 2 – 10: CH1, work 1 SC into each ST until end (8 SC), turn.
Fasten off after last row and weave in ends.

Sew 6 small buttons onto one baking sheet.

Shelf with Yellow Bowl:

Shelf:

With yarn CH 16

Row 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook, work 1 SC into each CH until end, SL ST all around.
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

Bowl:

With yarn CH 5

Row 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook, work 1 SC into each CH until end (4 SC), turn.
Row 2: CH1, work 2 SC into first ST, work 1 SC into next 2 STS, work 2 SC into last ST (6 SC), turn.
Row 3: CH1, work 1 SC into each ST until end (6 SC), turn.
Row 4: CH1, work 2 SC into first ST, work 1 SC into next 2 STS, work 4 SC into last ST (8 SC), turn.
Row 5: CH1, work 1 SC into each ST until end (8 SC), SL ST all around and leave a tail for sewing.

Whipstitch (sew) all the pieces into place.
