Building your page:

Using the tails of each applique, whipstitch each piece into place!

 The Lighthouse:

 The Waves:

 The Ship:

I glued my ribbon onto my ship, folding the outer ends inwards –
if making for very small children – it is best to sew on!
The ribbon should form little ‘pull tabs‘ on each end

These are some craft buttons I had (actually my daughters!)
They fit the theme and she wanted to add them.
These are really NOT necessary but I add them for inspiration.

    Hi 🙂
You do need to chain only 37 – you SKIP sts in the pattern to form the wave. I have bolded the SKIP STS parts to make it more clear.
After the first row is worked you should have only 34 DC.
    Hope this helps.

Hi Sharon 🙂 No you leave the top part open! They are called 'wave pockets' for a reason!

  3. I am in love with this so far!! My only question is, when sewing on the waves, do I stitch the top of them down or are they left open like a pocket?! Thank you for sharing this adorable pattern!
