BUILDING THE PAGE:

Surface whip-stitch all the pieces into place.
You only catch the surface top stitches so that you stitches do NOT go thru to the other side of the page.

WATCH THIS VIDEO TO SEE HOW I DO IT!

  • STEP ONE: Build the tower;

Note: leave a long starting tail for sewing

With yellow (golden) yarn CH 7; work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook; work 1 SC into each CH until end (6 SC); TURN; CH 1 Work 1 SC into each SC (6 SC); Fasten off and leave a long tail (12 inch)

Cut approx 24/30 +- 12 inch yellow yarn pieces. (Can be cut longer)

Weave hair thru the last row of SC and knot. (It’s basically making tassels for the hair!)

Sew ‘hairpiece’ to the BACKSIDE (wrong side) of the Tower – approx 3 ‘brick’ rows from the top.
Turn tower with right side facing – pull hair thru the ‘gap’ – see photo.

Work Window over the top of hair; Fasten off and weave in ends.

No tower is complete with some Ivy growing on it!
With some green (olive green) yarn SL ST along the the tower to create some ivy.

  • Attach the tower piece to page;
  • STEP TWO: Attach the roof;
  • STEP THREE: Attach the tree- bark first then top.
  • STEP FOUR: Attach the pond – then the lily pad.
  • STEP FIVE: Use the Hook & Loops/Press/Snap Buttons to decorate the tower ivy/tree and lily pad
