Abbreviations:

CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)

INSTRUCTIONS:

PART SIX:

Join yarn into any 2 CH corner

NOTE: COUNT your stitches on each side after completing to make SURE you have the correct stitch count – this is very important for the next round!

RND 9: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC/or do a Standing DC); work [1 DC; CH 2; 2 DC] into same corner;
work 1 DC into the back-loops of each ST until next corner.
*Work [2 DC; CH 2; 2 DC] into same corner;
work 1 DC into the back-loops of each ST until next corner.
Repeat from * 2 more times; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
(this is very important – 43 STS on each side)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Join yarn into any 2 CH corner

RND 10: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC/or do a Standing DC); work [1 DC; CH 2; 2 DC] into same corner;
work 1 DC into next 4 STS; SKIP 2 STS;
work [3 DC; 3 CH; 3 DC) into next ST;
work (SKIP 4 STS; work [3 DC; 3CH; 3 DC] into next ST) 6 times;
SKIP 2 STS; work 1 DC into next 4 STS.
*Work [2 DC; CH 2; 2 DC] into NEXT corner;
work 1 DC into next 4 STS; SKIP 2 STS;
work [3 DC; 3 CH; 3 DC) into next ST;
work (SKIP 4 STS; work [3 DC; 3CH; 3 DC] into next ST) 6 times;
SKIP 2 STS; work 1 DC into next 4 STS.
Repeat from * 2 more times; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
(you will have 7 x [3 DC; 3 CH; 3 DC] on each side and 12 DC – 6 at the start and 6 on the end)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Join yarn into any 2 CH corner

RND 11: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC/or do a Standing DC); work [1 DC; CH 2; 2 DC] into same corner;
work 1 DC into next 6 STS;
SKIP NEXT 3 DC; work [3 DC; 2 CH; 3 DC] into next 3 CH;
(SKIP NEXT 6 DC; work [3 DC; 2 CH; 3 DC] into next 3 CH) x 6;
SKIP NET 3 DC;; work 1 DC into next 6 STS.
*Work [2 DC; CH 2; 2 DC] into next corner;
work 1 DC into next 6 STS;
SKIP NEXT 3 DC; work [3 DC; 2 CH; 3 DC] into next 3 CH;
(SKIP NEXT 6 DC; work [3 DC; 2 CH; 3 DC] into next 3 CH) x 6;
SKIP NEXT 3 DC; work 1 DC into next 6 STS.
Repeat from * 2 more times; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
(you will have 7 x [3 DC; 2 CH; 3 DC] on each side and 16 DC – 8 at the start and 8 on the end)
