Abbreviations:

CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet (UK – DC)
HDC – half double crochet (UK – HTR)
DC – double crochet (UK – TR)
TR – treble crochet (UK – DTR)

PART FOUR:

WORKING THE POINT PETALS:

With color – join yarn on the WRONG SIDE of work.
Petal ROW 1: Work 1 SC into FIRST DC; *CH 3; SKIP (1 CH space; 1 DC; 1 CH space); work 1 SC into NEXT DC.
Repeat from * until end (13 loops made); TURN

Petal ROW 2:* work [1 SC; 1 HDC; 1 DC; 1 TR] into next 3 CH loop; work 1 TR into next SC; work [1 TR; 1 DC; 1 HDC; 1 SC] into 3 CH loop; SL ST into next SC.
Repeat from * until end (6 petals); TURN

Note: after creating the 3rd petal SKIP THE 7TH LOOP – SEE PHOTO

Change color – join into TR of FIRST petal
Petal ROW 3: CH 1; work 1 SC into join TR;
*CH 3; work 1 DC into SC of Petal ROW 1; CH 3; work 1 SC into next TR.
Repeat from * until end (10 loops made); TURN
Petal ROW 4:* work [1 SC; 1 HDC; 1 DC; 1 TR] into next 3 CH loop; work 1 TR into next DC; work [1 TR; 1 DC; 1 HDC; 1 SC] into 3 CH loop; SL ST into next SC.
Repeat from * until end (5 petals); TURN

Change color – join into TR of FIRST petal
Petal ROW 5: CH 1; work 1 SC into join TR;
*CH 3; work 1 DC into SC of Petal ROW 3; CH 3; work 1 SC into next TR.
Repeat from * until end (8 loops made); TURN
Petal ROW 6:* work [1 SC; 1 HDC; 1 DC; 1 TR] into next 3 CH loop; work 1 TR into next DC; work [1 TR; 1 DC; 1 HDC; 1 SC] into 3 CH loop; SL ST into next SC.
Repeat from * until end (4 petals); TURN

Change color – join into TR of FIRST petal
Petal ROW 7: CH 1; work 1 SC into join TR;
*CH 3; work 1 DC into SC of Petal ROW 5; CH 3; work 1 SC into next TR.
Repeat from * until end (6 loops made); TURN

Change color – join into TR of FIRST petal

Change color – join into TR of FIRST petal
Petal ROW 11: CH 1; work 1 SC into join TR;
*CH 3; work 1 DC into SC of Petal ROW 9; CH 3; work 1 SC into next TR.
Repeat from * until end (2 loops made); TURN
Petal ROW 12:* work [1 SC; 1 HDC; 1 DC; 1 TR] into next 3 CH loop; work 1 TR into next DC; work [1 TR; 1 DC; 1 HDC; 1 SC] into 3 CH loop; SL ST into next SC.
Repeat from * until end (1 petals); TURN

Fasten off and weave in ends.
Repeat instructions for opposite side.

BORDER:

NOTE: make sure the RIGHT SIDE is facing towards you.
With color – join into the TR of the TOP PETAL

Work 1 SC into join TR; CH 3; work 1 SC into SAME TR;
work 1 SC into next 4 STS;
(work 1 SC into next Petal TR; work 1 SC into next 4 STS) x 5 times;
work 2 SC into each mesh row gap – see photo

CONTINUE WORKING SC ALL AROUND – FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS ABOVE

Fasten off and weave in ends.
