Yarn: Weight – DK (11 wpi) 3 : Light – I used cotton yarn – check the main introduction page!

Hook: 4,00 mm (G)

CH – chain
SL ST – slip stitch
SC – single crochet
HDC – half double crochet
DC – double crochet
TR – treble crochet
BLP – back loop

INSTRUCTIONS:

Border One:

With Amazon (A) – join into any corner space.

RND 1: *Work [1 SC; 2 CH; 1 SC] into corner space; work 1 SC into each ST – skipping joins in-between squares.**
Repeat from * to ** 3 more times; SL ST into first SC.

RND 2: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into corner space; (work 1 DC into next SC; CH 1; SKIP next SC) repeat until next corner.
*Work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into next corner space; (work 1 DC into next SC; CH 1; SKIP next SC) repeat until next corner.** Repeat from * to ** 3 more times; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

With Natural (B) – join into any corner space.

RND 3: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into corner space; *work 1 DC into next 5 STS; (work 1 TR into skipped SC (RND 1); work 1 DC into next DC) x 17.**
Repeat from * to ** until last 5 STS before next corner.
{Work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into corner space; *work 1 DC into next 5 STS; (work 1 TR into skipped SC (RND 1); work 1 DC into next DC) x 17.**
Repeat from * to ** until last 5 STS before next corner.} x 2 more times.
SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

With Cherry (G) – join into any corner space.

RND 4: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into corner space; work 1 DC into each DC and FPDC around each TR until next corner.
*Work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into corner space; work 1 DC into each DC and FPDC around each TR until next corner.**
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times. SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

With Amazon (A) – join into any corner space.

RND 5: *Work 3 SC into corner space; work 1 SC into each ST.** Repeat from * to ** 3 more times; SL ST into first SC.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Border Two:

With Natural (A) – join into any corner space.

RND 1: *Work [1 SC; 2 CH; 1 SC] into corner space; work 1 SC into each ST – skipping joins in-between squares.**
Repeat from * to ** 3 more times; SL ST into first SC.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

With Fern (D) – join into any corner space.

RND 2: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into corner space; work 1 DC into each SC until next corner.
*Work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into corner space; work 1 DC into each SC until next corner.**
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.

With Pomegranate (C) – join into any corner space.

SPECIAL STITCHES:

Clusters – 3DCtog – 3 double crochet together – into same space or stitch.

NOTE: depending on the length of your blanket – amount of squares joined – you will either skip 1 DC or 2 DC before each corner.

RND 3: [CH 3; work 2DCtog; CH 3; 3DCtog] into corner space; CH 2; skip 2 DC;
(work Cluster into next ST; CH 2; skip 1 DC) until next corner.
*Work [3DCtog; CH 3; 3DCtog] into corner space; CH 2; skip 2 DC;
(work Cluster into next ST; CH 2; skip 1 DC) until next corner. **
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into any corner space.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

With Seafoam (B) – join into any corner space.

RND 4: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into corner space; (work FPDC around next Cluster; work 1 DC into next 2 CH space) repeat () until next corner.
*Work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into corner space; (work FPDC around next Cluster; work 1 DC into next 2 CH space) repeat () until next corner.**
Repeat from * to ** 2 more times; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

With Natural (A) – join into any corner space.
